I am not sure why traders sell on a bitcoin rally.  So dumb.  They should rise as well.  Alta are a very cool derivative play of btc.  When btc is rising and the altcoin is also rising against the trading pair, there I nothing better.

It is difficult to tell exactly what causes anything to happen, especially in this crytposphere that we seem to inhabit at times.

My guess is that speculators are buying into something that may be big someday.

In regard to ETC being a clone of ETH, I believe that it is actually the other way around:
ETH is the clone/fork but got to keep the name, ETC is the original that had to change it's name.

I absolutely agree that more is happening with ETH at the moment, but the price difference also reflects this, with ETC being less than 1/10 that of ETH.

What I find compelling about ETC is that someday it should be able to do all that ETC can do, and that you will be able to trust the immutability of it.

ETC looks like it's slowly but surely coming to life. Shillbert's fund, IOHK investing in the developer team... I can see a bright future ahead for ETC and rightfully so as an immutable and purer chain with similar characteristics to, if not better than, Ethereum.
