hello im from malaysia
been mining about one month

Transactions can optionally carry transaction fees. Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get the fee. The Bitcoin client will sometimes force you to pay a fee when it thinks that no miner will accept your transaction otherwise.

Hello all,

Quick introduction...

Big enthusiast from London. I acquired my first Bitcoins from a friend settling a tab back around the $20 mark... in that sense I lost out (fair play  Wink ) in another sense, he opened my eyes to the possibilities.  Needless to say, I've been holding and accumulating BTC since then, as well as investing in various assets on GLBSE (big fan of Giga's operation). I'm looking to move from being just a "spectator" to being a more active contributor in the community.

I'm working on a couple of ideas on the exchange side of things (which actually closely ties with the day job - which I'm even tempted to quit so I can pursue this).

Here's to the future...

Hey everyone. Fairly new to Bitcoin, I was introduced to it a couple months ago and decided to do some more reading on the topic. So now I'm here. This seems like a nice community, I'm looking forward to talking more with you guys! Smiley

Hey I'm working to spread the word about Bitcoin and am accepting it for my business, massage and yoga (on the beach, spa, and studio) in Vancouver, BC.  We're eager to spread the word and start earning some BTC.

I guess this is the place to start logging those required posts, so we can participate. My friend has a BFL Single that she runs at work and she let me bring it home with me this weekend. It runs great but BitMinter does not see it. So at the moment I am "Zara Clueless."

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Mod note:
If you see anyone spamming this thread, please report it. Spam will result in an immediate ban.

And so here is my first post on this forum. On any forum for that matter. I'm here to learn ever more about virtual finance in general and Bitcoin in particular.

Hoping to talk to ya all more in the future.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello! I'll introduce myself, so that I can go on posting elsewhere Wink.

I've been lurking on the BTC scene for a while and recently started trading in
#bitcoin-otc, username Hunner. I'll sign this message with my gpg key just for
kicks.

I'm a geek and want to try some of the mining stuff, profit or not. We'll see if
BFL follows through on their promises.

Ciao~
