hi, i'm a newbie from Belgium. Have been dealing with bitcoins for a few months now, and i'm a regular visitor of strikesapphire, but I'm a complete newbie to this forum, although I used the forum several times already to get some info about bitcoins and bitcoin-related sites. Hope to learn something here and contribute to the forum  Smiley

Welcome, Eddy!

I'm an older user, but I forgot my password to the forum and I need to PM someone, so hoping that this new account I just made will be enabled to do that soon. Seriously, I've been around for a couple of years, but haven't checked for a few months, and... passwords get forgotten. And my email provider seems to be offline for maintenance right now, which means I can't reset it ATM.

You may not be able to post in other sections but you can still read through them.
Check out the economy section to find a way that best suits you.
Mt. Gox seems the most popular and perhaps the most reliable.

Hi,

I'm a British guy who regrets not getting involved with Bitcoin and mining 2 years ago when I first discovered them. I'm now hoping to get more involved.

Thanks.

Welcome - I too wish I would have gotten involved at least a year ago...

You are correct about a waiting period - I'm currently waiting 30 day to transfer to/from fiat...

Hi, my name is David and I am from the Netherlands.
The first time I came in contact with Bitcoin was in june 2011.
I used my daughter old HP G72 notebook with broken screen to testdrive on http://www.bitcoinplus.com/ for 3 days.
After reading about Bitcoins,  I realize that mining with a CPU  is impossible.
The next week I start to buy computer components and start to build my first mining rig.
After a month, I start to build 2 extra mining rigs.
From time to time I return to this site to see what people are talking about.
I always read, never took part of a discussion.
With ASICS coming into play, I decide to register at this site.
Bitcoin has come to an important junction now.
It has become more mature and stable now to ignore active discussion.
I hope to learn from you guys and hope to help other people 2.

Obvious new here, but have been lurking.. I  have been investing on and off with btc for more than a year. I've decided to help out and learn so im picking up my pick and shovel and am going to try my hand at mining. I realize that It may or not be profitable. that is not my concern. I want to learn.. if I make a buck, then thats a  plus...

Any help/advice is appreciated..

hello. im from Canada.

ive had an interest in bitcoin for a while but i took it in action recently within last couple of weeks. i take great interest in the lack of retailers accepting bitcoin as payment and what i can do to help rectify the situation.
