Hi I'm from Australia. Have known about Bitcoin for a couple years but never had any interest in it. But now that its all the rage I've been reading about it and I guess greed and an innate interest have led me to sign up. Very keen to get involved in the community and start collecting some coins.

Hey all! I'm finally joining after doing some research and sitting on the idea for a year. Seems like some new changes are about to take place to change the game. Sounds like fun!

I'm a long time lurker, heard about bitcoin back in mid 2011 after the crash and it fell out of my mind quickly.  Didn't really understand the implications.  Then in early 2012 I actually sat down and read the white paper.  It blew my mind when I understood the brilliance of the system.  The more I read, the more I was sold. Unfortunately though, as a medical student at the time I didn't have enough spare change to buy some and play with it.  Finally became a doctor, made a resident's salary and I've been lucky enough to get in on some coin before the chaos of the past few months.  I'm about to start my radiology training and I've been thinking about potential applications in my specialty, especially in the context of tele-radiology.  That and some other finance related business ideas I've been working on that the community may find useful in the near future.

It took me longer than I care to admit to find the button to reply.
Just started looking into bitcoin and litecoin. Wish I had looked into this a year or two ago. ROFL.
Anyway just need to ask 1 question.

Hi!

I'm Stylus Inkpen from Second Life.

I came here wondering if I should trade my millions of Lindens for BTC.

It seems like there are currently a lot more things to spend my Lindens on than there would be with BTC, though.

I realize that I could get rich (on paper) on off-grid terms with BTC right now, but I'm already filthy rich so who cares?

I just want to have FUN!

Hey all, just a cryptocurrency noob here. Started reading about bitcoin last month and then decided to try mining. Started off mining BTC but all I have right now is a laptop so I wasn't getting hardly anything, so I switched to mining LTC now. Already got around 2 LTC in the past week and love watching the value of it grow. Really contemplating taking the plunge and buying a legitimate rig to mine with.

Hi, I'm Jason.

I missed out on Bitcoin...read about it a year or two ago, didn't pursue it any further.   Embarrassed

Started mining Litecoin last night.

I mean, seriously, who DOESN'T love treasure-hunting?   Grin

Cheers!

Hey all,

I'm a professional Computer Engineer who got caught up in this after being inundated with stories on Slashdot and Dailytech.  Wish I'd paid attention sooner and got started mining sooner Smiley

Been lurking on the forums for ~2 weeks (before signing up).  Recently got my 6870 mining at around 275Mhash/sec on my Slackware-based linux installation.  I also run my unRAID array (which is awesome) on this system.

Do you run your mining program on the unraid? If so, how did you manage to do that?
