Hi! New to these forums. Have been trying to buy bitcoins for a while, but the country I'm in makes it difficult for me to do that. Hoping to find some help on here!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hi, I'm new to Bitcoin trading and mining, but have already mined away with my GPUs for several days, cashing in a few $'s.
I'm now looking into buying asic miner shares or possibly buying a asic miner, when/if they are auctioned off.

Hallo, I am pretty new as registered user, but observing bitcoin and partly that forum since early 2011. I really like the idea from the technical and political point of view and hope it will change society in a good direction, at least if it can reduce the power of the financial sector.

Hi guys. I just started mining yesterday and I am about 10 minutes from my first Litecoin.
I have a background in Web Development and have been overclocking rigs for years.
Anyway reason I'm posting - my kH/s is a lot higher than I expect for the GPU i'm running. I compiled the s/w myself and tweaked with settings all night, but still the numbers on my pool stats seem high.
Do the sites ever mis-report kH/s values? I have been updating my stats for the last hour and the number is solid. I have another working mining with my CPU and the number it is reporting is sane.
Thanks!!

Game developer here. I see a chance that Bitcoins will become the paymet service of choice for game developers around the world given some time. I got one of my projects available for testing over here: http://www.photonfrog.com/

Hi there,
I'm relatively new to Bitcoins, I began trading on bitcoin.de about a week ago and registered at Mt. Gox recently. I believe that the Bitcoin price will rise to an even much higher level than it is now. I don't think that the price will crash dramatically in the near future: it couldn't be regulated or forbidden by nations. The only real risks I see are possible technical problem I read about, i.e. the rapidly growing blockchain and transaction jam. I'm sure it is possible to find solutions for these problems.. In the long-run, the concept just works.
