Here we go.... I'm an old fart. Far above the average age over here. Why am I here, well, the Bitcoin philosophy is a good one, that's why. The Bitcoin is in existence though and to be honest, this moment I don't know whether it is here to stay or not.... any more. I used to think it would, but with the latest price explosion; I do not know..... What I do know is that the idea behind BC is great. The man in the street however doesn't understand. I would like to create a system that looks the way the Bitcoin does, is NOT just virtual though (so John Smith will understand too) and ... is backed up by real values, not being $, € or whatever. I would like to communicate my ideas with people who know how the BC-wallet works and even better, maybe know how to build it, as I understand the open source is out there. Why? Because I have the idea, but not the knowledge to build.
I hope some bright people will answer me and ask for more information.
Thanks
Wannashareit

Just making my obligatory post to activate the PMs.
Experimented with bitcoin over 2 years ago, and since it has been back in the news again, trying to brush a few cobwebs off.

Hey, My LTC mining experience:
I lurked for a bit until creating my own mining rig with 1 gpu for the moment. I went through the process to optimize shares per kWh and I think its working out well. I've got a few minerd workers all going through my proxy as well as the gpu rig. Got some coins already ! Feels good

So... new to bitcoins... not really sure if they can be called legal where I'm located... and also I wonder if participating in their economy/mining might jeopardize my job at a major banking institution if they found out.

Hiya! I'm Dave from Downeast Maine. Just learning about the whole Bitcoin extravaganza, so I'm sure I'll be asking a few dumb questions. Thanks for your patience.

Just started 2 weeks ago, just before the big spike in Bitcoin interest.
Running 3 systems,
1 with 2x 7950's @ 1.054Mh/s 1 with 7970 @ 625Mh/s 1 with 7850 @ 200Mh/s This is my Son's PC so I have intensity at 5
Have Cgminer running and have spent the past week tweeking the settings of the cards to get the right balance of temps and hash's.
I'm happy so far... I expect things to get much harder soon and take much longer to get my payouts. Oh well...
Hello miners!
