gixx0r here, been lurking since 5 minutes ago? Been familiar with bitcoins for a while now, just finally decided to join the forum.

I don't think I've ever lurked on a board before. I am usually too keen to hear my own voice to just read and listen.

Hello I'm a new user.

I downloaded litecoin client a week ago, registered to litecoin poll "NOTROLL.IN"

yesterday the owner, Nicksasa, stole 20% of every of his users balance account.

Luckier people had withdrawn the day before. The ones who didnt withdraw are now screwed and their funds magically disappeared. Nicksasa found 5 minutes to log in and post an explanation: "I made an error and overpayed all miners for 14 hours more than I should and since some people already withdraw some funds I just stole 20% of every account, I dont care if you weren't mining at all on those 14 hours, I dont care at all if in your balance there are funds from a week or a month of work, it's mine now."

That's not actually what said was it? You shouldn't misquote, It can get you in trouble. Anyway I'm just as annoyed as you as I have lost 20% to that pool too. So I went ahead and setup my own pool. It's UK hosted, 0.5% fee, P2Pool PPLNS. it can be found at mine.p2pool.biz:9327 username:[whatever LTC address you want to be paid at] Password:[whatever you like]

hm.  Sounds familiar...I guess that didn't work for those folks.  Hi all I'm noo here.  I'm here to learn all about the ins and outs of making the switch from slave money to BTC.  Specifically about ways to separate my coins for different purposes ie. cold storage, semi liquid, and liquid wallets.  Keeping some anonymous coins would be sweet too, not that I do illegal things, I just like to meet childish behaviour (snooping) with adult boundaries.  Anyways, I'm gonna go try to find out how many posts I need to get outta noobieland.  Cheers all!!

Correct me if I lied: 1) NOTROLL.IN owner, NICKSASA admitted he made a mistake overpaying miners for 14 hours
                           2) NOTROLL.IN owner, NICKSASA took out of every balance account 20% of coins
                           3) NOTROLL.IN owner, NICKSASA doesn't care if you mined in those 14 hours or if your balance was 1 day or 1 month of work.

BITCOIN virgin ....I've been watching bitcoin on Zerohedge since the Cyprus dealio .....for all the times I have scrolled past BITCOIN threads on ZEROHEDGE ...the graph spike caught my attention with bitcoin headed for the clouds !!!!

I am a Libertarian CAPITALIST ...HISTORY ..ECONOMICS and news junkie .   As the old systems crash and burn in a cloud of corruption and propaganda.......BITCOIN is the future of currency .  rising up from the ashes of fiat currency !

IF ...it survives the test of time by attacks from the Propagandists ...HACKisphere and the Globalists .....Bitcoin is the future of money !!!

I am 55 ....with a 20 something quest for knowledge ......I hope to begin to learn the use the Bitcoin .....so that when my son's friends all go to the store ...STARBUCKS ....ITUNES ....and buy GAS in BITCOIN ......the old man can ...be there first !!!

Hope to learn ...and one day be a contributor to the forum ...thanks to all ....Jeff

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Sadly I had to use search to find the reply link. I'm use to a button, or something, not a bunch of links off to the right side. Still, now that I know what I know, that will be one last hassle. Anyway, not much of a Hello World post, but there you go.
