Hi all, I've been mining for a couple of weeks, so thought I ought to get round to posting. In the interests of making the bitcoin economy actually work, I've also started accepting bitcoins as payment for adverts on my 150,000+ pageview/day Scrabble Cheat-O-Matic: http://spod.cx/cheat-o-matic.shtmlIt's not much, I know, but I figure every little helps And as it happens, yes, I do like cheese.

I'm Batman.
No, I am the batman. This is why Bitcoin is so strong. How could the government take out a network with so many batmen in it? We are the night!

Howdy - noce to meet you Been following all this for a while, but only started mining in the past week or so (hands up if you think I've missed the boat!) In it for the journey, discovery, and the vain hope that one day, 20 years from now, my few measly bitcoins will be worth a million $$ each See you around!

Hey all, also new to Bitcoin here... At the time of this post, I'm mining at a rate of about 3.3 GHash.
I've been big into automated wealth generation since about 2006 when I started botting in World of Warcraft. For a while I botted up to 24 accounts simultaneously in World of Warcraft, either leveling character or farming gold, right up until Blizzard laid a perma ban on mmoglider (formerly wowglider) in court. It was a profitable hobby, but in all, very time consuming.
Unfortunately I only found out about Bitcoin on 6/3/11 but starting mining the very next day. Wish I had found out when CPU mining was viable, since I still have 12 computers from the WoW days. Instead I had to build some new rigs with 5850s (3x) and some 5830s (8x).
Currently been mining for 7 days at 1.1 GHash (with a jump to 3.3 GHash in the last 3 of the 7 days). Taken in a little over 20 coins.
That's pretty much me in a nutshell...

Hi this is my first post but I've been lurking the Bitcoin forums and related sites almost non stop for the past week trying to learn as much as I can about this amazing currency. I have several ideas I would like to share with the community so here's +1 to my post count. I look forward to becoming more involved in this wonderful community.

Hello I am sciter, I am trying too see if my standard desktop computer could generate money. I am also looking for Python miner help, but the 50-posts rule is restricting me from asking it in the right section

I'm Jake, I just started mining bitcoins casually with some computers I have kicking around, and joined the forums to get some tips to optimize my mining at least a small amount.

Hi, Been aware of bitcoin for about a year now, but only recently taken it seriously. Made a few trades recently and wiped out nearly half my first $500 deposit into MtGox with the madness over the past couple days. Logged in today to find my entire account wiped out, similar to this http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=13322.0I have a support ticket in for this issue, but just a warning to newbies. Probably not a good idea to keep too much in the exchange. Hopefully it will be resolved.

Hi, I'm Nilquader and i've just started playing around with bitcoin and mining. As I don't have one of these great ATI graphics card I'm trying to get some code running on my FPGA board. I know that it won't reach the performance of these high-end graphics boards but it should be enough to play around and learn
