Inrerested in Bitcoins. It sounds like they are the wave of the future. Looking forward to helping out with their adoption.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Hello friends, I am New to Bitcoin and I am facing serious problems. I installed the guiminer software and later when I opened I got A warning message saying the OPen CL is not installed. I ignored it and when I clicked start mining an error message showed at the bottom of the guiminer saying that the dll file could not load. I have 4GB RAM 512 MB graphics card NVIDIA and the OS is Windows XP
the recent NVIDIA geForce drivers have OpenCL 1.0, the latest GeForce 280.xx Driver have OpenCL 1.1 which should be more compatible. it's a recent addition to the beta drivers, so it should be in the WHQL's 1. uninstall the current nvidia driver, 2. download and install the newer 280.xx WHQL version and 3. reboot, 4. see if GUIMiner starts up by reading the logs. if it does work, you should notice the GPU fan starting to get louder. mostly i expect you won't get very far, as GUIminer isn't built for NVIDIA's OpenCL and it will be far below 100Mhash/s, perhaps 30-50MHash. Have you considered buying a new video card or are just testing the waters ? i tried GUIminer with NVIDIA previous to changing my video card, i was running 275.33 and ATI AMD SDK 2.4 (due to not running beyond 30MH/s) and found that i had stability issues with OpenGL applications that i needed to use, as well as PhysX and other applications. there may be better options for Nvidia mining, but i'd recommend not using the AMD SDK if you're going to use a GeForce GTX card, you only end up getting 30-50Mhash/s, and an unstable gaming system

Hello all I'm just here to check out the community and see if I can learn a bit about this weird and interesting economy. I'm not much of an IT/programming buff, although there are aspects of it which fascinate me, so I can only hope some of the forums' collective wisdom rubs off on me. I've been following Bitcoin off and on for about 4 months and will be curious to watch as events unfold. I happened upon a handful of bitcents the other day and so I've been messing around with some of the gambling sites users around here have set up - the clever bastards I study Philosophy and German at University. I'm from the U.S., but I'm finishing my degree this Winter in Trier, Germany. Cheers

I'm rgm. I'm interested in digital currency but disappointed with the usability of Bitcoin so far. I like thinking about what real value means and how my actions can add real value to Bitcoin (aka, accepting Bitcoin for physical goods and services).
I'm generally anti-speculation, but have hung out with interest in #bitcoin-otc attempting to sell actual things.

I feel the same way. BTC are perfect for me though, if you are in the same market as I am. I like how BTC is like "cash" on the internet because it's virtually untraceable, or so I have heard.

Hey there,
just want to say hello, already read a lot about bitcoins in the past. I am curious to see how this thing evolves and looking forward to discussing with you the potential future ;-)

Hi people, just noticed bitcoins a few days ago and already trying to mine some. Now I really hate myself for not playing latest 3D games. My GPUs are so not making me a millionare:-)

I am TechJeeper. I found out about Bitcoins late one night while listening to that weeks SecurityNow Pod Cast. Im too broke to afford a real mining rig, so I just mine with my gaming rig, it averages about 20-25MH/s I love the concept of BC as a currancy. I have been doing web hosting and design for many years, and I hope to be able to offer my services to the community in exchange for BCs adventually. I am on Twitter @TechJeeper I am on G+ at http://gplus.to/techjeeper (p.s. if you want a G+ invite, let me know) I am big into the Android world, and run an Android development forum.

Hi all, I'm ian209 (AKA: Locoyokopoco). Been fairly new to bitcoin mining, but I come from a relatively experienced computer background. I'm currently mining in the MTRed pool with my two unlocked 6950's, a 5870 and a 5850; all of which are watercooled and overclocked to the moon. I figured I had the hardware, might as well put it to good use
