I've been mining for a few weeks now.  I first heard about Bitcoin whilst I was Stumbling the web.  Some teacher was going to set up a mining server using the computers at the school over summer break.
after I mined my first coin I was hooked.  Needing to spend the vast fortune that a retail clerk makes I went out and bought 2 5970s off Ebay.  If I had only known that you could run pci-e 16 cards on an x1 adapter I would have bought cheaper cards, but you live and learn.
I rely hope that Bitcoins stay around.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I'm Ash, I heard about bitcoin a few weeks ago, I've set up a couple of cpu miners in my office and a gpu at home on my gaming rig.

I've signed up here because I'd like to find some bitcoin paying small jobs, I can translate anything from french to english and vice versa, edit film and design lights for theatre. I can also provide tour guide services anywhere in france.

I have been having some issues trying to double mine (cpu + gpu) on a windows 7 machine, my gpu miner is gpuminer 2011-05-21, I can't seem to find a working cpu miner that can coexist with it.

Anyway, hope you're all enjoying yourselves.

Hola!

From Canada, we're a duo of great miners willing to take over the world with Bitcoins! Grin

I've been lurking the forums for around 4 months, and I wanted to comment on some topics. Since there are rules on this forum, I'm going to respect them. So here's the first post!

Hey there,

I'm a video game concept artist working for EA games in Salt Lake City and an award winning comic book writer and artist. I've been learning about Bitcoin since reading the infamous Silk Road article and I'd like to start trying to do some business in Bitcoin. You can see my website in my profile if you want to check out my work. I'll make another post with information about my art and books as I make them available with Bitcoin.

Hey all,

I'm a 20 year old control engineering student in Canada. Hugely interested in bitcoin as the entire concept aligns with my views. I've been mining for a few days now, and have set up accounts with several pools, traders, etc. Very excited. Cheers.
