Hi I'm an indie game developer, and I'm interested in Bitcoin/Solidcoin as a possible method of transaction.

Hello. I can't wait to get into the Politics subforum so I can post some rebuttals to the resident propaganda so prevalent there.

I'm not equipped to mine (Nvidia FX 5200), and won't be investing in a GPU just for the coins. I have some fundamental questions: who issues the coins to miners? Whose are they before the miners get them? And what "work" is being performed? What is it achieving? Why is it worth anything?

Hi,
I'm new to crypto-currencies. I've discovered that with Bitcoin, but since his launch, I'm on solidcoin. I know that there is a great discussion around it since last week, but, I have choose to believe in this new money.
About me, I'm 31 and I'm IT (mainframe operator and IT analyst).
Hope to speak with you on the forum.
Kind regards.
charMlessMan.

Been reading these forums about a month now, don't know why I haven't registered before now... I live in Michigan and have 3 rigs mining at about 1.46 Ghash. Would have been more, but I had to RMA a 6970 and then they didn't have a replacement card for me @ newegg. Been working on planning my next rig, but need the approval of the boss (wife) to spend the $1400 I want to spend. She is okay with it once I get the last set paid for.

Hi!
I would like to improve my hardware development skills. I'm competent with C++ and other languages, but have never had much of an opportunity to get into almost serious hardware design.
I can't post to the forum for the fpga miner stuff, so I post here. Could someone please fix that for me?

Hi there,
I have to say - this is such a fascinating thing to come across. I had no idea about BitCoin until just a few days ago. After researching, playing some poker at btcontilt.com, and browsing the forms a little, I keep wondering what the hell is going on here!
The atmosphere across the board is so refreshing. So real. So free?
I can tell you something - this is going to start getting much bigger. This is going to be our future, though, it's certainly going to be extremely bumpy, but I love it so far.
Thanks!

Hi, I'm Ayukawa.
Just got to know the BTC idea recently and quite like it. So will now try to get me some coins and see what I can do with it. Up to now, no special plans yet. Beside taking over the worrld. But everybody wants to do this once in a while, right?
Cheers :-)

Hello, started with bitcoin mining 3 weeks ago.. seems very interesting. If I only had more time, I would open some e-shop with very rare stuff to support bitcoin economy Cheers.

As an avid PC enthusiast I can't believe I didn't learn about bitcoins until like just a month ago, I shake my fist in the air at all you 58xx owners, that is, unless one of you is selling one of your cards Any fellow canucks around here?
