Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Hey, it seems like getting out of the newbie box is going to take awhile.

I'm working on some BitCoin related websites that'll launch as soon as I acquire some more coin and find an area to promote it.

This sounds interesting, i would like to know more

Hey there. I'm not a newbie, but only recently joined the forums and started interacting with other Bitcoin holders. I'm currently mining with 24 6950s at about 8.2Ghps, and scaling up to 30 over the next couple weeks.

Hi, I'm Satya Smiley

Love the idea of bitcoin, and I've jumped on the bandwagon eagerly! Tried mining for a while a few months ago, but figured out it would take forever, so I switched to exchanges instead Smiley

Hi Guys - Name is teek, finally just signed up an account here on bitcointalk, but I have been a lurker and involved in bitcoin for a few months, mainly studying and mining. I have developed some bitcoin companies I hope to launch soon, with some real products.  I definitely hope to get a little more involved in the bitcoin community.  I feel like I am late to the party in a way, but I know this is just the beginning.

Just listed a new asset on the GLBSE!!   GLBSE: BMMO  This is an expansion of my mining operations offering 1 MHASH shares starting at .1 BTC.   I'll devote a thread to it once I can get rid of my "newbie" status.  I think this will be the first of many..

I am very interested in crypto currencies, cryptography, p2p, etc. and hope to connect with some other bitcoin entrepreneurs in my travels!

-teek

Hi All. A great thread here prompted me to sign-up and get involved in the amazing conversations taking place at this forum. That thread is one member's idea for a new Internet. Whether or not its valid and reliable I can't say, but its interesting none-the-less.

Ok, this anti-troll measure was unexpected but hey, if it enhances the user experience long term then the is no argument against that.

So, about me? I'll reveal bits an pieces along the way. For now, suffice to say I am a +1 for Bitcoin, both in principle and application. This is the power of an idea set in motion. In a world and society which seems like every good idea has already been thought of -- the bitcoin is breath of fresh air. More than a breath.
