... The real meaning of my post was that it's basically not true that high profits can't be made in the old economy - see below ...
No in old economy you need laverage now like 1:10 to get good profits if you fail you get on your bank acc - negative value. In crypto you can invest take 20x profit without need of leverage ^^ try make 20x in old economy now in year.

High profit can be 10-20% or 50-100% which is obviously possible without any leverage. 20x is just crazy, non-repeatable in long term. Try to make recurring 20x few years in a row.

Blackcoin 10x then i got NAV 10x then i got NEM 20x ... Now i bet on ICONOMI, but my real black horse now is JWL (Jewels) // low market cap big potential those are best deals hard to lose but to get those coins i burn a lot BTC on usless one too. ICONOMI i rate like 2x-3x in year i have allso MVPlineup (share) - we will see how it will go. So far i had no luck to company shares both were scam but now i got reputable community we will see.

Iconomi, you just retweeted an article from Smith and Crown. That article's first point is: "Due to the crowdsale structure and ICONOMI’s business model, ICONOMI will not return value to token holders until it’s generated as much money in fees as it raised in the ICO, what at time of writing is just north of $4.5 million. This will likely take many years. (1)"
Is this true?? This seems to contradict everything that has been said thus far. Do they mean won't return the full value, or won't return any value (as in no dividends)?
Can you point to an address for that article? Thx!

Read the footnote (1) at the bottom of the article. *"Smith+Crown’s back-of-the-envelope calculations: assuming a 1.5% management fee (based on net assets) for management investment, one would need a total seed fund of $300 million to hit this threshold. Assuming a .5% fee for a passive ETF-like investment, one would need $900 million invested, which is 7.5% of the entire cryptocurrency market today. These fees are industry average fees for traditional financial products today, which only cover operational fees. ICONOMI fees will need to cover both fees and dividends. Even with a distribution of this over time, sufficient revenue to pay back investors seems unlikely. For example, if 1% of the entire cryptocurrency market went through ICONOMI funds (half in a CMF and half in a CTF), and a full quarter of industry-standard management fees actually went to dividends, then ICN tokenholders would wait 15 years before $4.5 million was returned, even without adjusting for inflation or discounting to present value." It seems to me they aren't right in the calculations. My mathematics, shows absolutely other figures.

after reading the entire thing
If you were me, would you invest?
What is the main point which lead you to invest in this ico but not others?
Thanks, thinking to invest around $100 but still unclear whether its an A+ project or not
1. No one if forcing you to invest. 2. If you have even slightest doubt about this project, then you should not risk your money. 3. So far ICONOMI team is pretty on point with explaining nuances, strategy and future of this project - which is very good sign that it will indeed will be successful. 4. Which other ICO you considered as investment option beside ICONOMI? I doubt they are bigger at this point. yes I agree , no one forcing to invest , it is investors own risk , but I have seen iconomi is doing good , and it is an great project on crowd funding , there are so many good opinions on iconomi by lot of investors .

LiskQH is going to share his mathematics to dispel these inaccuracies expressed in the article! They also plan on charging fees for performance goals which is typical of a managed performance style fund. These fees could and generally are much higher and a percentage of the gain above a predefined threshold. This would increase revenue and potentially profit greatly. Also remember when the OFM is up and running both fund managers and participants will be paying fees for platform usage. All I’m saying is that the calculation isn’t as simple as they indicate.

Looks like Iconomi is really doing well lately. What are the requirements to be part of their project and to hold shares there ? Can shares be bought with bitcoin for example or are they only POS ?

Devs,
Do you have any details on the performance fees charged for ICONOMI.PERFORMANCE and expense ratio for ICONOMI.INDEX?
For ICONOMI.PERFORMANCE, how are returns calculated? Monthly/yearly? What's the benchmark/hurdle rate? Is there a high water mark? Do you have to make up losses before recording a gain to register for the performance fee?
