Hi -

I have been mining for about 2 months now and the profit on it is very low. Because of this I am looking to offer programming work for BTC (as I think that earning BTC from programming is much better than mining).

 According to your post :
Quote
You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum

I don't really know how to show I understand more about bitcoins - I guess I could copy/paste a bunch of stuff from wikis and forums but that seems silly.

I am looking to try to offer programming services for bitcoins which requires access to the marketplace forum. I can show I am a programmer from my github: https://github.com/lologarithm

Hope this is enough Smiley

Thanks!
Ben

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

We are experienced bitcoiners and developers starting up a new service. 2 members of our team are senior members here with >500 posts. Be nice to get out of here to post a proper announcement and provide any support needed.

Have one of these accounts PM me and I will whitelist you when I get back in a couple hours (anonymity will be respected).
I'll be on for a bit yet, too, so PM both of us.
Well, I'm out for the night.
Or PM me too. I'm in during the time you guys say it's the night.  Cool

Request to be white listed:

I've been browsing the forums for awhile. Mining for a short time and have used the forums for every transition along the way. From running linuxcoin to windows 7 cgminer to phoenix and now currently running BAMT! The forums have guided me the entire time and helped me whenever I ran into a problem; there is a wealth of information here. I've even purchased hardware (5830) from the marketplace. My current projects include building a case for the current rig and expanding by purchasing more GPUs.

No big story here, I've been using bitcoin for a while and I just wanted to pose a question in a thread regarding bitinstant, wondering when they expect to be accepting Chase deposits again

I am a developer and I regularly get new cool ideas for improving bitcoin services. I have attempted to discuss them in newbie section but I am not getting replies. Right now I'd like to post in the development forum of Electrum Bitcoin Client as I have a good idea for improvement.

Please whitelist me. I am putting up a new Bitcoin related web service - https://cryptostocks.com - and want to use the forum to market the site, gather feedback and discuss related topics.

Howdy,

I initially wanted to post the following somewhere where people might not ignore it, like in the newbie forum Smiley

[05:04] <luke-jr> I made 3 changes to Eligius to try to deal with this…
[05:04] <luke-jr> 1) block 1dice outputs

Since I found this quite interesting and to be honest a bit unsettling.

I've been developing my mining rig using BAMT, right now I'm expanding from 2 machines to a couple more but have stumbled on few issues such as cards locking and the rig won't reboot until the removal of that card.

I feel I've got as far as I can on my own and I need some help to move forward. Can I get whitelisted so that I will be able to get some help on the Hardware section?

I am a seasoned IT Professional and Bitcoin Enthusiast. I am currently investing about $30,000 to start my own high volume mining operation startup. I also make a very well know calligraphy ink called Old World Ink. (www.oldworldink.com), which I sell though Amazon and quite soon for BTC directly from my website. I think I would be a very productive member and would have a great deal to contribute to the site as I grow my mining business

Thanks

Hi There,

I'm a frequent reader but before havn't had any reason to sign up as I've not had anything to input. I'd now like to be able to post elsewhere to open up a thread on a project I started a week or so back...

The project is 'Bitcoin Donator', a few screenshots to get an idea of what it is can be found at http://bitcoindonator.bensbit.co.uk/preview/. It hit Hacker News (http://news.ycombinator.com) and lived there for just under 5 hours today that generated 1200+ unique hits. I figure this is the best place to open a thread to get suggestions and to keep people informed.

Cheers,

Ben.
