Hey Everyone, This Forum is indispensable for learning the ins and outs of cryptocurrencies and mining.  I've learned a lot here and have also recently began mining and doing well with it.  Gotta post to be involved!  I believe that Bitcoin is a monumental achievement for all people and will have a huge impact as it comes to age.

The new rules encourage newbies to:

• start an autoreload mechanism in their browser over night (to get the 4 hours)
• post nonsense answers such as "New newbie here!" or "I agree here" (to get the 5 posts)

So I'm afraid those rules make the forum more attractive for trolls than for non-trolls. I wonder whether the trolling really declined since those rules were established. Is there any evidence on that topic, positive or negative? Did that really help?

Well, like others I finally realized, after numerous clicking, that there are special rules involved as to getting any "reply" button.
Albeit being a bit of an annoyance, I can understand this policy. I've seen board getting messed up big time without such policy.

So - let's roll and get this user account going!

I don't agree. My coins have been stolen (that's how i feel about it, a better term may be 'taken hostage') by bitcoin-central and i desperately want to add to the discussion how i feel about them. I feel screwed over by them so badly... blegh.

Seems rather off-topic for this thread, but you seem to have misunderstood how mining works. If you are part of a "mining pool" (and I assume you are), you have registered on the pool's site (e.g. btcguild.com). The reward for finding a valid hash for the next block is currently 25 btc, but the odds of finding it alone are tiny. Mining in a pool allows you to get a share of the rewards proportional to the amount of work you put into it.

Accepted hashes in this context is the pool's way of finding out how much work you are doing. Depending on the pool, you currently get around 0.000003 btc (3*10E-6 btc) for each accepted hash (also known as a "share"). This amount is paid to you BY THE POOL, so you need to add a payout address (one you control, generated with your wallet) to you profile on the pool site.

Depending on the pool, you may or may not be able to get really tiny payments transferred to you, so you might have to let your miner run for a (perhaps long) while before getting anything out of it.
