The 4 hours isn't that bad.  The 5 posts is annoying though, thread I'd like to contribute to are on the rest of the board.

4 hours is perfect since if someone's attention span lasts that long then they are worth keeping around.

And you don't think decent trolls have trained patience? It might keep the obvious out but not the cunning ones.

Blah. Sucks if you've been reading and following the forums for a while and have just now decided to actually register and post something.
Easy solution to that and it looks like you've already found it Tongue

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted.
I finally got there and have to wait even longer! Sad Cheesy

So what, everyone has to sit here and post 5 times before we can take part in the real discussions?  Ok Tongue

Of course 4 hours can delay some trollers from register new accounts, but it can be also an option for people with good reputation to bypass this restriction.

I can see why the policy is needed, but it's not great if you're someone who likes to make occasional thoughtful posts instead of spouting masses of rubbish.

Oh well, this seems to be the best thread to spam - I give in.
