Coach: Peter DeBoer (430-334-113 overall, 20-6-2 with knights)
DeBoer is a long time coach in the NHL. He took over for the knights halfway through last season and was able to lead them to a conference finals appearance. He will be looking to continue the hot start this season and lead the team to another deep playoffs run.
Offense:
The offense has been fairly solid this season as they rank 11th in goals scored per game. The team is led by their top 2 wingers in Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty. Stone is off to a tremendous start and already has 6 assists through 6 games. Pacioretty is off to a great goal scoring start and has 3 goals in the first 6 games. Vegas has a bunch of other contributors and have a very well balanced attack
Defense:
The defense has been outstanding this year so far and ranked tied for 3rd in goals against per game. They will look to continue the hot start as in the previous season, the team ranked in the middle of defensive statistics.

St. Louis Blues
Previous season: Made playoffs, lost in 1st round
Last year was a bit of a disappointment in trying to defend their 2018-19 Stanley Cup. The regular season was great as they finished 1st in the Central division, but the playoffs did not go well at all. They finished the round robin seeding 0-2-1 before getting blasted by the Canucks in the first round. They’ll be looking to put that in the rearview mirror and begin the season strongly.
Offense:
The offense has been pretty good this season scoring 17 goals in 6 games. The Blues have a very balanced attack with multiple options to score. Currently, the leading goal scorer is Brayden Schenn with 4 goals through 6 games. Look for top points scorers from last year (O’Reilly and Perron) to turn it up and put up a lot of points.
Defense:
The defense has struggled a little bit this season as it ranks in the middle of the league in goals against after finishing in the top 5 in the previous season. St. Louis should have a stout defense so expect these numbers to change soon.
