As bitcoin is decentralized, people can do whatever they want with it. I would not be shocked if in the future, besides ATMs, there are physical bitcoin banks that deal exclusively or almost exclusively with the cryptocurrency. What will determine this is popular demand. Yes, currently there are online banks and exchanges, but for physical ones there will have to be more mass adoption.

Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea. So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.
Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think? p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.
No, bitcoin is a crypto currency and it should not be controlled by the bank.

No, bitcoin is a crypto currency and it should not be controlled by the bank. They can't control the bank but they can regulate exchanges, our option to cash out bitcoin is to convert in exchanges and it's our bank actually, if we do not want to be controlled then we just hold it. As bitcoin is getting more and more popular, regulations will be more strict to ensure laws are not broken and the interest of the government will be protected.

i agree Bitcoin bank is a good idea , with Bitcoin Bank created , Bitcoin will going to public ,.
I think there will be no link of bitcoin and bank, if so then I think people will not interested in bitcoin, because they have already the facility of bank. If I want change in my life, I will definitely prefer to bitcoin, because I need a currency which will be accepted throughout the world. So that I shall not exchange my local money to buy something outside my home country, and through bank I will have to pay exchange charges.

I disagree with this idea "bitcoin bank" because first of all bitcoin is decentralized currency already. If you put bitcoin in a bank means there is a certain person or group that is holding our bitcoins and its centralized already. I like to put my bitcoins to microwallets for me rather than a bitcoin bank. Thats my opinion
I am also not sure that a bit coin based bank would be established as bit coin is free from several limitations like in banks different types of taxes are implemented on your own money while in case of bit coin you are a free customer and you will get the profit of you investment according to your efforts and struggle so I also don’t think like.

I gues i agree For more secure
Such banks will not give greater security to your crypto currency than the blockchain system. But banks will take additional services from you. I am against such banks

I am against such banks agree and disagree. on the one hand, if you dont have the keys then they arent your coins. hell, if someone else is sharing the keys they arent completely yours anymore. so as an old head, im not to keen about any type of "hosted" wallet solution. but on the other hand, the average person's cyber security is absolute shit. people have no idea how much information they leak due to poor "hygiene". social media records, weak passwords are all vectors for attack. enterprise grade security is magnitudes more robust than this, but its centralized so you arrive back at the initial problems. its a devil either way, but since institutions have civil liability, I think I would go with a hosted wallet on this one. if they can offer the value added services that real banks offer, without all the fees, im all ears.

Esssentially, bitcoin banks are proposing the same services that normal banks would offer pretty much. loans, money storage, and the purchase of debt. the difference is in the fees, and the rates of return. using a blockchain means a free, built in ledger/database. this greatly reduces operational costs, and the subsequent fees that would be passed along to the customer. add to that the volatility that bitcoin brings, and investments managed by professionals should offer rates of return superior to what we see in the alt markets. but that superior return would be tied to superior risk, like always. so you cant really guarantee the enhanced returns, but you really could get the operational fees down to nil, and still turn a decent profit. my only problem with bitcoin denominated banks is centralization. its like you just cant get some benefits without dealing with a centralized service

So who will hold the bitcoin bank, satoshi nakamoto is just a pseudonym, and who will manage the bank? But it would be nice if bitcoin really has a bank

Wouldn't be a bank kind of senseless for a decentralized currency? For what exactly should I use a bank, when I am already able to do everything I need to ... having an account, sending + receiving money etc. What exactly would a bank bring to the table?

Well, you are right. But think about ordinary people, many of them won't bother about security of their funds. They would like to be provided a secure service. These just don't understand the purpose of decentralised currency. Also "crypto bank" could work like today's exchanges. They would allow to hold many different cryptocurrencies in one place. You have a point there! Security is a big problem for sure. On the other hand, imagine what a bank can do with all the bitcoins they hold. They could manipulate the market easily.

I agree with you. BITCOIN BANK is not a good idea for me. In the first place, what really banks are for? Anyone who is planning to build or create a bitcoin bank aims to earn from interests. Banks are designed to ear profit from the interests of those deposited to them. Why do bitcoin banking if you can manage your own money through exchanges and trading? Well, bitcoin bank is out of the line for me.
