v 9 will be mostly fixing speed in 280x/390x so cant wait. i assume 20 sols + good enough Smiley

+1 yupe... (hopefully... )  Nice one. If it can actual achieve dat, its a Top notch!!!
 Grin

never saw a chances for d older cards to also taking-part in this Zcash-mining before actolly...
Love to see people doing d store digging lookin for d dusty cards.
+/- d electricity n d other cost, ROI shows quite a good figure.
As example, d R9 280x & R9 290 (plus d other gpus around dis batch) is still worth to keep!!!!  Grin

another thing is, d 'DE-CENTRALIZE' will always keep 'RE-DECENTRALIZE', rit...?
This 'scenario' (bringing d old gpu back into mining again) can be as 'added-value' for d main crypto-currency objectives to success..'strongly'!

Back to d v9.0 dat is coming, can we call it 'pushing d limits', or its an 'optimal pullings' or is it 'beyond d boundries' thing? Wink  Cool
Already reaching d 'limits'?
Only xperts can answered that....

Optiminer is back and releasing update of his miner for win and nix

Yup, and it's slightly faster Claymore's v8.

There is no Optiminer release yet (0.6.0 is old)
0.7.0 will be released in a few hours

I have Optiminer v0.9.0 directly from the author.

Edit: I'm sure he will release it shortly. I can not redistribute it because of the license.
can you give us speeds you are getting please
1 khs for fury x
wish that was true have some fury's myself but as we all no fury x just not possible with that speeds so you are wasting everyone's time spamming Claymore thread

ok so what do you guys get out of RX480 8gb on claymore v8.0

I'm getting an average of 210s on each of my rx480's.

In what settings you achieve 210S/s? I can not bring more than 200 Sol/s in -96mV/core 1280MHz/memory 2120MHz!
You need modding memory timings in card BIOS.
My 480 4G getting avg. 220s on 1950Mhz memory, with mem. timings mod

And what's the wattage at wall?

~125-130W without downvolt (1303 Mhz GPU core)
With downvolt (Core:1000Mhz, 850mV, mem 1950Mhz, 1000mV) - 180-185s and ~75-80W power

Do You use some custom available bios?
I can get 180 sols but with 1191 clock.

I use value memory timings from 1350Mhz in card BIOS
Card is MSI RX480 4G

PS
Second card (Sapphire RX480 4G not work with this timings, i use value from 1650Mhz. Card get 165-170s on 1050\2000Mhz and 215-220s on 1400\2000).

I think that the ZEC (and ETH too) algorithm are more demanding of memory timings speed, rather than to the core.

memory controller load percentage on old GPU? anybody know?

For the old cards like 7970, there is no memory load percentage. For the R9 390, the percentage is around 50%.

Hello Claymore,
Thank you first for your miner.
I am having a bit of a difficulty setting up fan speed.
6 Cards in total:
Quote
GPU #0: Hawaii, 8192 MB available, 40 compute units
GPU #1: Ellesmere, 8192 MB available, 36 compute units
GPU #2: Ellesmere, 8192 MB available, 36 compute units
GPU #3: Ellesmere, 8192 MB available, 36 compute units
GPU #4: Hawaii, 8192 MB available, 40 compute units
GPU #5: Ellesmere, 8192 MB available, 36 compute units

In config.txt I set this:
Quote
-fanmin 50,50,45,45,45,45
-tt 75
-ttli 85
-tstop 90
-i 0
And I get this:
Quote
GPU0 t=59C fan=50%, GPU1 t=50C fan=50%, GPU2 t=57C fan=60%, GPU3 t=53C fan=58%, GPU4 t=54C fan=58%, GPU5 t=53C fan=59%

Is there something wrong I did?
Thank you.

I see no problems here, except "-i 0", you can try to use "-i 6" instead. If you worry about fan speed (58% instead of 50%) - for 4xx cards drivers have some problems with fan speed management, miner sets 50% but they can set 40-60% instead (have no idea why).

It seem's to be a miner problem, not a driver...
Also such situation with ETH+SIA mining.
