at NO stage it goes above this peak (760W) 2*480 + 4*470

Are the settings for the GPU Aftherburner / TriXX "military secret, strictly confidential," so you did not show them Grin ? How many clocks for GPU, RAM, what is the  power limit and voltage in mV, the legend? And we want to save on electricity Cool.

It's not needed he uses Watttool

Memory 1750
both running at 904MV

true that. I never go above 1180MHz for the core on the last phase and it's never over 925mv.
btw memory read intensive dagger-hashimoto doing fine on 850mv (total power from these 6 is below 920W in dual mining)

eth only is 816W:

Will the new update of the miner be today?  Smiley

No. I plan to release it tomorrow, need to check different drivers to improve compatibility.

And Linux version tomorrow?

v11.0:
..........
Linux version will be available later.

How much to wait? A year, two?
AS i think it's more difficult to make the linux version, but i notice that on linux my card has lower temp lower fan's %)

there r no extra cores to unlock on 290x/390x

correct, just run the cuinfo. just investigating if the 290x can run as a 390x as is claimed

Card #2 PCI ID: 1002:67B0 - 1787:2342
DevID [67B0] Rev [00] (0), memory config: 0x500013A9 Elpida
Hawaii-class chip with 11 compute units per Shader Engine
SE1 hw/sw: F8000005 / 00000000 [...........]
SE2 hw/sw: F8000005 / 00000000 [...........]
SE3 hw/sw: F8000005 / 00000000 [...........]
SE4 hw/sw: F8000005 / 00000000 [...........]
44 of 44 CUs are active. HW locks: 0 (R/O) / SW locks: 0 (R/W).

yes as they are the same just 390x comes stock with 8gb ram and a bit better power optimizations and higher default clocks
but yes u can use either or bios depending on card pcb and there are 8gb 290x's

mine is the powercolor first reference with 4 gig. Can I still do it?

from the above u have elpida ram which is slower than hynix just use the bios from the modded thread from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1676474 since u have a ref like u said scrol to the bottom and use those set clocks to whatever keeps the temp 75c or lower and mem to 1450 depending on how good those elpidas r u might get a stable 1475 on the ram

I have it running stable at 1110/1440 @80C. will be buying the ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme III cooler. They say it helps both with the temp and mostly noise. Staying at a hotel and the noise is really a problem lol

that doesnt matter when u run a modded ram timings as what is done is the timings used on lower clocks are set to the higher giving u better speed at higher clocks than norm but can also reduced total speed u could do before on stock bios like ram on a pc if u set tight timings u wont oc as much

got it running at 335, not bad for a $70 craigslist card :-)

Excellent settings. Thank you, boys. I am now graphics cards cloks 1180 GPU, 2100 GDDR5 RAM, - 48 mV, power limit +0. I now have 6 x 250 Sol / s = 1500 Sol / s and the power consumption is 880 W (measured by energy meter).

Zcash v 11 is doing quite good.

Undervolted 4 x cards I get 1046 H/s and 360 watts at the wall.

You got me wondering, how does the Watt/Sol  compare between linux and windows. Normally cooler=less wattage, is this true with Claymore's Linux versions?

I have done nothing to conserve power. It seems like the top end of the hashrate is no more expensive than the lower end on the rx480 8gb. I can see it with a 10-15.00 coin like Eth, but wont there be some powermizers contemplating suicide when zec pumps to 100.00+ in a few months?

I don't sell any zec that was valued under 45.00 when the block paid. Could be me getting screwed in a few months, but seems like I have better than 50/50 chance at good profits, if/no hackers...

So my first post, and I'm going to explain what I have and what I am using. A couple of things I have seen, not really a problem but would like advice and maybe a bug or two that are probably known but thought I would mention them I would appreciate feedback but not if it is to troll me.

I was running Claymore Version 10

I am running a 7 card rig (5 - R9 Fury's (4gb) and 2 Fury X (4gb) on a on a MSI Z97 Mobo.
Running dual power supply's one 1200w (2 X's and 1 R9) one 1600w (everything else)
Dual Core intel, 8gb ram 128gb SSD HD

And just so that I can feel the love,I will tell you this "I pay ZERO for power!"

I was pulling 2560 average with ranges normal ranges from 2480 to 2733. Each Fury X is doing 386 to 397 (the occasional 400) and the R9 Fury's pulling 330 to 361 (the 330 is the main video out to monitor, when I turn it off it goes to the 350's) running on intensity 7

**Not wanting to setup a wallet on a different machine I installed a Virtualbox for Ubuntu. Now the amazing thing I discovered here is that when running the VM for wallet deposits I take a 200 sol to 250 sol hit the entire time the VM is running.... does anyone else see this? do you run your wallet and rig on the same machine? if you do and you shutdown the VM, do you see a performance increase?

When I do -fanmin and set a parameter of say 50, I see a 5 to 12 sol performance hit... Since noise and power useage isn't an issue, suggestions?

-mclock doesn't appear to work. When I set it for my Fury X's I get a unable to configure when it launches. Known issue or possible fix?

Since writing this above I have now updated, but I wanted to include my original Ver. 10 settings

Running Claymore Version 11 (now)
Win 10 (64b)
Catalyst 15.12
-i 8
running with ASM on
1 Nitro R9 Fury (monitor) @ 356 , goes up to 380 when I turn the monitor off
4 Nitro R9 Fury's @ 389/392
2 Nitro R9 Fury X @ 419/422

Ran for 18 hours no restarts!
My constant average is 2746, I have seen peaks slightly over 3000, drops to the 2400's but mostly stays 2700-2800

I went to check on it because my average dropped to 2600, log file was over 70 mb's, stopped and restarted claymore, and SOL's were very bad - 70-90....  restarted system and everything went back to normal, see screenshot.

Does anyone see any performance hits with large log file? Should I set up a system reboot every 8-10 hours?

Thanks for you time, and I am glad to have joined this elite group of pioneers!

Anything with a graphic user interface is going to take away from your GPU's, just turning off the monitor will boost your hashrate a little, not to mention save about 30 watts for those of us who pay for power.

@claymore
When using gpu-z to check card usage it shows 2.1gb dedicated memory being used..
Now my question is if the cards got 4gb of ram can we do something to utilise the rest of the ram? Im sure there is loads more you can optimise to utilise the whole gpu efficiently?
Btw the cards r9 nano.

Rx480 8gb use only 1.7gb of the 8gb ram... Hmmmmm

@CLAYMORE - Which -a number is for what type of card?  So far it seems the code is good at picking auto for 470 and 480 but with Fury cards, using -a 2 is best.  However is auto accurate or is there better -a # for 390, 470 and 480?

I do not think that such cards can mine in plus. Electricity will kill all profit. But I could be wrong.

When I running claymore miner on linux - i have something like '60t and 71-72% fans'
Then I install Ubuntu and now i have something like '58t and 60% fans'

Nice! Maybe this solves my problem with the Fury Nano and Nitro that i have. They cannot run ASM they go to 0 sol/s. So i force them to run normally.
Tried lower clocks and drifferent drivers but so far it was not working.

7970's are doing very well with V11.

I also had a problem with a R9 295X2 would crash after 1-2 shares. Did run stable with old 15.12 drivers but wont work with newer 16.12.2
Thats to bad because with wattman support in new drivers you can tweak the card way better. Fingers crossed for the next version Smiley
