What is the speed for rx vega 64?

I get 519h/s with single watercooled RX Vega 64 8GB on stock. Driver 17.9.1 CM 12.6

regards

Gary

That is quite good. But it is still worse than the nVidia 1080Ti.

For the power usage it's pretty BAD - and slower than many GTX 1080 much less getting completely blown out of the water by any 1080ti.

On the other hand, there are reports that Vega does well on Monero (XMR) mining.

Is that very efficient on XMR?

Hi,

Would you recommend buying RX580 rx 580 red devil 8GB?
Also will you power only 8Pin or need 6 Pin+8 Pin to be connected to PSU?
Thanks

I remember seeing someone claim 1800 hash/sec for a Vega 64 on Monero, and they didn't have the thing optimised yet.

That's THE highest performance out of any single card period, though there are a very few high-core-count CPUs that can match or beat it (Top-end Threadripper can match it pretty close, ANY Epyc can beat it, and I think a few of the top-end Intel Xeon server CPUs can also top it).

I would recommend to buy 1080ti, since you can get upto 760-800 sol/s per card, it's much better than any rx580 can offer.

I'm getting 1700-1800 h/s on XMR with single air VEGA 56 and 64
2x64 and 1x56 is doing 5100h/s with 650w from the wall. Temp 60 and FAN about 40-60%, ambient temp 20
I think it can be better Wink

VEGA air default settings:
VEGA 64 - ZEC - 480sol/s
VEGA 56 - ZEC - 440sol/s
VEGA 64 - ETH - 37h/s
VEGA 56 - ETH - 35h/s
Don't know how to get more on ZEC Sad

WIN10, 8GB, BLOCKCHAIN DRIVERS

1080ti is looking better on ZEC but the price...
6x 1080ti AORUS EXTREAM doing 4500sol/s (4400sol/s on the pool) - 1800W from the wall

If you overclock you might be able to get 300.

Depends on the card. Just start overclocking it with MSI Afterburner and slowly go up. When the card crashes you know you have gone to far and then go back to where it was stable. It is trial and error. Every card is different, even same brand, same batch.

I have it set to frequentie GPU  1130/870 and  memory 2100/870 what should I change?
Edit I changed GPU frequency to 1200 now I am getting around 300 in stad of 280/285 👍👍👍 should I try higher, can it damage anything? Setting memory higher than 2100 crashes the 580's

On a hash/$ basis the RX 470/480/570/580 are comparable with the Nvidia 1070/80/80ti cards (not sure on the 1060 and below as I don't have any of those) *IF* you can find a RX series card at a "good for current market" price.
On a hash/watt basis I believe the NVidia cards win fairly easily - it's hard to argue with 4 sol/watt if you optimize a 1080ti towards efficiency, and the 1070 and 1080 can hit close to that same figure or a hair better too depending on the model or specific card.

Nvidia could crush AMD if they would just lower their prices on the 1070 and 1080 Ti.  I know I would prefer to run all Nvidia if the price was right.

Hello, dear friends!

Ive got several 280Xs mining Zcash for a long time. All are memory strapped , doing ~300 sols/s.
But now think of making them a little bit colder and quiter.

Could you plz point me for some manual of doing this ( i think undervolting or somethig)  ?

Best Regards.

Keep in mind that mining is normally a "small niche market" for GPUs - the last few months have been a rare exception.

On GAMING (the primary market for higher-end cards like the 1070 and up) there is no comparison between a 1070 and ANY RX Polaris-based card, the 1070 blows them completely out of the water.

Even the VEGA barely beats the 1070 on gaming, and loses pretty much across the board (narrowly) to the 1080.

The 1080Ti is good for ZCash. It is not good for ETH related mining.
