Am thinking of limiting the gpu usage to 90% Since am noticing some lag in the os response (CPU Usage:2%).
I use the pc for surfing and watching movies online and offline. I turn cudaminer off when I game.

-i 1  and a small kernel launch configuration will work. usually autotune will only find small configurations
while tuning with the -i 1 flag.

this "interactive mode" is enough for watching a video, but probably not for gaming, unless you're
thinking Solitaire or a flash game in a browser.

Christian

My 780Ti mines at 500 khs/s while i play LOL or skyrim (but due to the load the framerates are a bit eratic fluctuating between 30 and 125 still decent enough) but i have notice that after a few hours the pc crashes most liely due to the video driver, this happens sooner if i oc the card

Btw is my gtx 780 mining 200 khps on vertcoin ok? Also for long term what coins you think I might mine? Vertcoin seems to be a solution to the ASIC problem.. What else? One of these days I ll get my risers and let you know how it went.

Hey guys, I am looking for some help to find a good configuration for my GTX 580 to mine YaCoin..

Currently I am running on these settings

"
cudaminer --algo=scrypt-jane -l f8x8 -H 1 -d 0 -i 0 -C 2 -o stratum+tcp://yac.coinmine.pl:9088
"

what gives me a hasrate of ~1.4khash/s

Thanks for your Inputs!

Ok guys this 750 ti has one of a hell core , sadly the memory is drawing it back. Anyway , I tweaked the bios mhz and then started testing, I run heaven benchmark and it showed the core boos was 1498mhz and everythhing was ok the benchmark was with no artefacts and run 2 times before i stoped it. With cudamining the best clock i can get for now 1363 gpu and 3200 ram, But adding more core mhz dont make any good, unless memory is up , so my max memory is 3230 and gpu has the same performance 1363-1320 -depends on memory. Minig microcoin with 303-306khs and scrypt 320khs and you may have to try T15x24 gives me best. Grin Grin Grin Tongue

consider -L 2 and run autotune again. But I already find 1.4 kHash/s pretty OK for a Fermi card.
They do scrypt mining pretty well, but yacoin not so much.

Why do you guys put  -C 1 or 2 when cuda says T kernel ignores it , or may be it doesn`t?  Huh

it's ignored in the Compute 3.5 kernels, but it doesn't hurt either...

counter question:
why do people keep putting SET GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 into their .bat files?

I think people believe in Voodoo. Wink

Is anyone solo mining MRC right now successfully?  Before the wallet update i was getting a block every 2-3 hours and now i've gone 24 hours with nothing.  I know the diff
has gone up a little but i've also bumped my hash up 60%.  So am i just having poor luck or is something busted?

in the MRC thread people are complaining that the wallet isn't reporting a difficulty change even though the thread's first post shows a schedule indicating
a difficulty increase on February 23rd. So maybe something is wrong with the wallet - or with the schedule...

Yacoin difficulty has been reacting a bit to recent price hikes. Here is a good chart:

Oh, good point! How much power is it then with -H 2, with the card overclocked and not?

Re-ran benchmark to get this:

result may vary a little since I was using a different pool for my first benchmark and they are down.

EVGA FTW 750 Ti

-m 1 -l T5x24 -i 0 -H 2

195w idle
254w Default clock  (~264khash)
270w Overclock +39 GPU / +777 Memory (~325 khash)

Scrypt-jane
236w Default clock (~3.1khash)
244w Overclock +81 GPU / +940 Memory (~3.6 khash)

UPDATE - added YAC usage

I've noticed the difficulty going up and not coming down, unlike the price.  By the time my transfer to BTER went thru the price had dropped significantly.

Yes, same here.

You know, they might have sold off the contents of some exchange-owned wallet and delayed user's deposits in the mean time. When the user's deposit is finally credited, they could have bought back these coins at a lower price, essentially scalping the user of his profits. Just some thoughts... Not accusing them of anything, as there is no proof. Also such a scheme would be VERY risky for the exchange, as no one can predict the price for a couple of days in advance.

Completely possible, as up until the past few days, my deposit were (relatively) quick and I was able to move my coins easily.  Makes me think twice about using them before, I'm going to do a test run on Cryptsy to see how this move over there...

having an api that is uses the same calls as cggminer/bfgminer et all would be a dream. I would love to use cgwatcher: http://manotechnology.blogspot.com/p/cgwatcher.html with it to manage multiple rigs.

I ordered a EVGA gtx 750 Ti and I want to put it in a rig with a gtx 660. I am using debian with nvidia 319.82 driver.

2 questions:

Will the card work with the 319.82 driver?

Will I launch cudaminer with the same command line options and it will use both cards? I am using autotune with vertcoin.

I have tested a 750Ti with the 331.20 driver offered by Ubuntu's x-swat repository under the package name nvidia-331.
The driver was released before the 750 Ti announcement and hence the card only appears under an internal code name.

Much earlier drivers will probably NOT recognize a 750 Ti at all. So a driver update will be required for you.

The cudaminer options should be uncritical. Autotune should work on both cards, provided you use the 2014-02-18 release
of cudaminer.

I've just briefly tried building the Titan kernels against sm_50 using the CUDA 6.0 RC toolkit.

On my 750Ti there was no difference in scrypt performance compared to a build with the CUDA 5.5 toolkit.

I will try out keccak and others later.

For the first question can't answer the second.

I was on driver 331.xx and when trying to mine it would not. I got a message along the lines of " do you have a cuda device installed"

Installed 334.89 and had no problem from there.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink
