I got 6 x MSI 750 TI working in Linux (only 5 are mining with cudaminer).  With the 5 x GPUs I'm pulling 1.1MH/s and 340w at the wall right now.

Your GPU #4 only shows 96 kHash/s. This is odd... Does this also happen when you pass the option -d 4 to mine ONLY on this card? What's your CPU utilization while mining?

overclocking tools for Linux will be coming, I am just not sure when exactly (this is not under my control). Be careful not to brick your cards doing BIOS mods.

what kind of hashing power does get the gtx750ti on MRC ?
152-155khs,  overclocked to 1360mhz

Yes it does happen when I use -d 4.  Just confirmed.

For people asking questions about risers... I'm not sure whether the 5th/6th GPU aren't getting enough power or if they're having issues communicating because of the risers, but the other cards seem to be doing just fine.  Here's a pic of the rig

The HF engineer in me cries "OMG THAT CABLE LENGTH!". Do you have somewhat shorter USB 3 spec cables to try this with? Maybe some of the nVidia cards are having trouble with signals getting distorted on these long cables.

I believe you need this sir http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632

Microsoft C++ 2010 Redistributable

let's recommend the 2010 SP1 redistributable instead, 32 and 64 bit versions

Whoops yes, SP1 - I had this issue last night when I was toying with Windows 8.  I kept googling some missing DLL file and then finally found that I needed 2010 SP1.

I couldn't get those GPUs recognized in Windows 8 .. only 1 of them.  Even when I plugged in 3 on the full length PCI-E slots, only 2 recognized and the 3rd was nowhere to be found.

Yesterday I ordered an gigabyte radeon r9 280x and an Seasonic 1000W platinum PSU. Semi-goodbye to nvidia mining!
Not really, I'll keep using my beloved gtx 680 for quite some time now I think Smiley

This is going to be a similar thing to Doge in the sense that it is based on a meme... If you are not familiar this comes from Twitch Plays Pokemon (googling this is all you need if you don't know what this is).

Might be interesting to get in on release... but it doubt it will go for me then a few days if it ever lifts off.

Those risers aren't actually using the USB protocol - they're really just simple extension cables with USB ends on them.

the RF engineer in me knows that. The cable length introduces delays, attenuation and nonlinearities that may be well out of spec for the PCIe bus.

Still doesn't explain why the first 4 cards are legit, the 5th is half ass, and the 6th is non existent.  They are all recognized, powered on, and spinning.  I'm writing something to see if I can send some work to the 6th card via cuda.

I guess that's why you're the designer of this program. I guess i'll stay in school and keep studying computer engineering, maybe i can help you out at some point.

yeah, the RF engineer in me is clueless about that. :-)

oh wait... idea: the 5th and 6ths PCIe slots are farthest away from the northbridge/CPU though. Now add the USB cable length...

I studied communications engineering, but I mainly focus  on protocols, software stacks, simulation of radio systems. My HF/RF knowledge is pretty rusty :-)

The troubleshooter in me says to take out the middle two cards (middle PCIe slots) and see how many cards you see.  If it's 4, it may just have to do with the number of cards being seen by the system.  Maybe the BIOS runs out of memory trying to address that many cards.  Make sure all the features you don't need are turned off in BIOS... all the fun stuff Smiley

Found something interesting in speccy:

So there definately is a way to detect the performance levels, now is there a way to enforce the performance levels?
Although the clockrates stated by speccy are incorrect...

setting clocks is only supported on Tesla boards through nvidia-smi. The busy bees at nVidia are working to appease us miners, so expect some new possibilites in the future.

So it'll be supported in a driver update then?
It'd appease the hardcore miners, because I have no problem opening Google Chrome :p

oops, did not know that speccy is a Windows app. :-)  does speccy show a change in perf levels when opening Chrome?
