I was also thinking about a coin with an automated air drop (the preliminary success of Auroracoin seems to indicate that Airdrops are actually a good thing).
Each wallet that at a given time has X coins in it, will receive a 3*X air drop. Creates instant interest in mining (and possibly buying) some coins to get several wallets with the given minimum.
Repeat this cycle every 3 months, upping the next minimum coin requirement to X' = 5 X. This leaves a 1*X coin gap per wallet until the next air drop, requiring more mining (or buying) to keep up.
It's kind of a proof of stake system with a continued motivation for mining or buying. Note that the airdrops are NOT filled from pre-mine, but rather as PoS transactions.
Some inflation is built in, however it should not be a problem if the number of users of the coin grows at about the same rate.

As a concept, sounds interesting. Be sure to do an IPO scam on it and move to Bahamas ^^ Ok just kidding. (am I?) -- So I got my gigabyte r9 280x and new seasonic 1000w platinum this week. Here they work happily on top of each other: http://i58.tinypic.com/2yulf90.jpgAs expected, 2 fans wasn't nearly enough to run both 280x and the gtx 680 in a closed case, so I bought two more fans. The temps are stable 78-80c now, both running on stock clocks. The fans are set up like this: Front pulling in Side pulling in Top pushing out Rear pushing out Currently, the top one seems to be quite much waste of time - it's just 32c directly on top of it. Also the second, unused top fan slot is pulling air in slightly. I guess I should just try out different combinations. I'd love to test with front in, bottom in, side in(or out) and rear/top out - Unfortunately the PSU is so big there's not enough room for a fan at the bottom Come summer, I'm in a trouble though... +5-10 room temperature will be a pain in the ass.

Anyone mining MRC with a gtx 780? Since they increased the N-Factor to 11, my hash rates are terrible (like 100Kh). They were never great, but its really bad now. This is the config I'm using, can anyone help me out?
--algo=scrypt-jane:MRC -l T24x24 -d gtx780 -i 1 -L 2 -H 2

I think the idea of making a CUDACOIN is absolutely superb. And if we say that nvidia is going to backup the coin with offers and promotions ( which might happen) it will be a grate success. When you buy an nvidia card you will receive as a bonus 5 cudacoins not a useless game. Everybody will be happy. I think you could suggest this to your nvidia guys Christian!

May be not exactly free , but sure will cost them less than a commercial. They will optimize driver for it and Christian will become the new nGuru. We will make a nvGox and will stole all the money. Hahahahaan

I don't think the factor already increased (I am running the R9 on it and the rate is still the same...) Try using the -L2 -t kernel, it works rather well for me with the gtx780ti (now for N=11 you can tune it on an UTC pool they'll be happy to see someone...)

Free upgrade with cudacoins would be nice (a bit like what is done by evga).

I looked and I was only getting around 50% gpu utilization. I ended up having to reinstall drivers to get it working again. Not the first time I've run into this either. I'm getting ~220kh now, but I'll give those settings a try too, see if I can squeeze a little more performance out of it.

Love the idea of cudacoin. Been following a great while, just don't have anything to contribute usually, but this brings me out of lurk mode. Great idea!

Since the nfactor change to 10 I've been getting 300k from my 780s using (from autotune): -l T12x20 -L 1 Also a definite +1 to cudacoin!

What was your bat when you autotuned it?
The exact same, without -l t128x2 Thanks! And you running the latest Nvidia drivers? 334.89? and your memory usage would be helpful...
