On the other hand, the typical replacement candidate for any Nvidia, is the same performance reference @ 2 gen's upwards. As we're apparently skipping the 800 convention for the high end desktop series: if you have a 690, you'll be looking for a 990 once it's out, if you have a 670, a 970, and so on... Personally, I find that most times a single generation bump is not worth the cost or bother for the little performance gains one will have.
~ Myagui
I was all the time looking forward to the 790 / Titan Z. But Nvidia made it a very long wait (it was hyped and announced months ago) and once the price tag of 3000 Dollar was known it became obvious that Nvidias double GPU path is dead for the consumer marked. You can't sell 3000 Dollar cards to private consumer. Also AMD will have a hard time with its R295 which is half the price and water cooled but still they are at least in a half way sane price range. Just that 2 single card is soo much cheaper... I expect the very same to happen with the 990 now. It will come out at the very end of the Generation so month or years from now and with such a bad price/perfomance relation that it is uninteresting. I have seen crypto performance of the Titan cards listed here (don't ask me which ones the Titan nameing gives me headach they should have keept the numbering). My 690 card performed still better than them (more hash in scrypt and x11). I am not up to date with the very latest. So it might have changed. I don't know. The new GTX980 will very hopefully beat my 690. The price will not be much lower than what I payed for the 690 (1000 dollar) So I will get a bit more for a bit less cost performance whise but not the world after that long wait. The real benefit of the card of course will be the much lower energy consumption this is truely positive. If it were still profitable to mine crypto with GPU than I would be very happy waiting for the GTX980.

Memclock matters a LOT when mining other algos like CryptoNight, though. I have mine at 1450/7000, usually.
I wrongly assumed it was XCN. He is mining X11. Yes I realised that, it's all good brother. I went + 650 memclock because I was following a guide: http://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/20734u/5x_nvidia_750_ti_evga_rig_with_mods/I got stability with +125/+200, but it's an uninspiring 2.75 Mh/s. Is that it? Tweak over? No staying up until 5am for the next week playing with thread count/thread concurrency/lookup gap/core/mem/vddc combinations 2.75MH/s is about it from a 750Ti. Indeed. subir fotoOK nice, thanks for the validation, it's much appreciated. The Giga Black is already OC'd quite a bit. I found stability at the 2.8 Mh/s mark with just a bit of OC'ing in MSI afterburner. +125 on the core clock was way too much...

+125 is too much? I rock ~1400Mhz.
Out of the box it's 1163/1350/1242 (boost) I'm not sure if boost is engaged, I read somewhere to run google in the background to enable boost cores (5 month old guide) Whenever I went over +100 on the core clock, I would get what's called "The Jackpot" I start getting high hashrates and the screen starts scrolling really fast and the watt meter drops by 100, I assume that's crashing.

Pretty much the same on my Windforces here: subir fotos onlineI see no need to squeeze the card to the limits, overvolt etc... the gain is minimal. The PNYs are a bit slower, but I think the "advantage" is the no need for 6-pin power as the Gigabytes, as my PSU is only a 600W Bronze with 2x6pin PCIe. sube fotosTemps are just fine, no rig here, just a normal closed case...the Gigabytes run a lot cooler (58ºC-60ºC max.) / PNY get a lot hotter (71-78ºC) depending on room temperature.

I've currently got +58/300, stock bios. Getting 16.4 Mh/s with 6 cards on x11. Temps are low 40's in an open rig. Pulling 410 watts (That particular rig has an IDE HDD). I modified the BIOS and put Ded and Max to 65500, didn't notice any difference in power draw or speed. That must be just for Scrypt.

My BIOS is modded to 75W, though.
I'm still learning with Nvidia, is that changing the Ded and Max to 75000? Do me a favour, what speeds are you getting on x11?

I'm still learning with Nvidia, is that changing the Ded and Max to 75000? Do me a favour, what speeds are you getting on x11? Only 2.7 to 2.8 max, but I haven't found optimal clocks for it. I change everything but Min to 75000, except I change Min in the middle one. I got the test rig to 16.6 Mh/s on x11 running +75/450 @ 421watts. I've just upped it to 75 watts as per what you have done. Let's see how hard I can push this baby...

As you wish: My 750Tis are numbered 0 - 4 (inclusive); I have two in my desktop, #1 and #4. https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/Wolf_750Ti_1_clocks.png -- Clocks on #1 https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/Wolf_750Ti_4_clocks.png -- Clocks on #4 https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/Wolf_750Ti_1_powertbl.png -- Power table on #1 (same on #4, so I didn't screencap that one) The above were taken on my Windows laptop where I edit the BIOSes - the following are hashrates from the desktop: https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/x11wolf750ti.png -- I think GPU #0 in ccminer maps to #1, and #1 to #4, but I'm not totally sure. 2.6MH/s - 2.75MH/s X11. I was about the say that your new background was PG-13, but that doesn't work for the last one

for some reason this doesn't strike as a good idea... good luck finding a problem when one occurs... I e-mail the company and asked about the amount of ram for one. more curious then anything. I'm sticking with 5 or 6 on my asrock81 they also have a GPU-Oriented x4 PCIe 4-Way Splitter http://amfeltec.com/products/flexible-x4-pci-express-4-way-splitter-gpu-oriented/

Actually I prefer the one which support the 16gpu more compact. What is the price of that thing ?

djm34 this is where i found the info to start. http://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/20734u/5x_nvidia_750_ti_evga_rig_with_mods/a post from > I used my Amfeltec.com 5 way PCIE splitter to split the 16x into 4 additional channels giving me 8 PCIE slots... was able to get 8 EVGA's running at 290 khs average on 561 watts. So a single 750 power supply was actually overkill. The real problem is that my crates don't hold that many cards so I have to build a wood or pvc system to mount everything.<

You will need multiple PSU's to support a system like that. I like my 6 card rigs, they are nice and compact and don't weigh a ton when I need to move them. Nice and organized. https://i.imgur.com/WyZVcYi.jpg

yesterday i saw a spark where one of the gpu was connected, and the one in the first slot now is roasted in one point , this to be precisely the strange thing is that the gpu is still good, work perfectly anyway i rma'ed it i had the exact same thing happen to one card. i was next to it too EDIT:i didn't use any cooling fans on it at 95 degrees

Any way we could get djm's latest contributions (xcn, etc) up on the release page at http://cudamining.co.uk? With this thread growing so fast, I think the importance of cudamining.co.uk only will increase as a place where miners easily can find the latest releases (but also relevant donation addresses for devs). If it's to much work for the devs and bigjme, perhaps a trusted third party in the community could help out to keep it updated. If you're running windows you can download the latest nvMiner which has all djm34's goodness in it.
