All of it is embedded in our minds, the goal is to make our mind calm and comfortable for an unspecified period of time.

If we atheists then we will ask who created God, and how it happened. But if we are among those who want the inner satisfaction, we will always pray with confidence that we believe. Then we would be comfortable with life satisfaction in our minds.

LOL.... Our fate? You don't have to bother about your fate once you die. Because if you are dead, then you will not have any "fate". Afterlife and all the other myths are just funny stories. Think what will happen to your family, if you die suddenly.

There are some people in this world who are only concerned with life. If you are thinking about worldly things. then you're right, you're just going to think about the fate of the family, money, business. and many other things left behind forever.

I was at the side of the more religious, and of course I understand if you're going to assume it was just a joke. We are going back alone when we die, and we need God in our minds to freshen our lives.

I don't need anyone in my mind to freshen myself. I am religious, but I am not overly so. Never felt the need of god in my personal life. If you need god, then you are free to believe in a religion of your choice.

It is not suitable even for a politician. With such thoughts he needs to go to the preachers. Only he and there is no chance. Those who do not believe in God do not believe because it's not an argument, but those who believe do not need to convince.

You are right about #3 and #6.  God is a feeling.  Feeling you get after reading a holy book, after attending your church or mosque, talking to other people who feel the same way, or by just looking
at the architecture and iconography in your church/mosque.

As such, God resides in the brains of the religion followers.

Our emotions most of the time take over our logic so it is hard for religious people to think critically about what they are doing.  I suspect both regions of the brain work almost independently.
That is why some scientists can compartmentalise their religion and their scientific work.

Just like drug addicts will do anything to continue using drugs.  Religious people hang on to their belief system because it makes them feel good.  In the end, it does not matter to them if
it is true or not.  It helps them and makes them feel good and that is what counts.

The problem is when they try to harm others as a result of their addiction.

It is a mental issue and it requires action.  Especially when we consider violent religions such as Islam.  Just like dangerous drugs, some religions must be banned.

The only time we will be able to understand things about God that He doesn't tell us, is after we get millions of times the scientific investigation abilities than we have now.

The atheist knows that atheism is a lie. How does he know this? Because he doesn't have any proof that God DOESN'T exist. And because there are tons of evidences that suggest that God at least might exist... evidences even in the minds of the atheists.

If atheists were agnostic, they might be truthful. But as atheists, they are liars. As liars, they have a cult going in atheism.

Atheists are not liers but in fact they dont believe in a personified God but deep within them they see God unlike we view God. There are many aspects on how to see or view God just like the ancient Greeks does. Some view God as a force or a vortex that all immanates from it, others see Him as a Person that creates everything. My point is atheist does not beleive in God who is a personified God but they believe in immanation in natural force from where all things come. And that something is also God in some sense.

well i think the notion of god was made also by people who want other people to follow and obey. having an all powerful being to punish people who do bad things and reward those who do good is a very good way of instilling discipline and fear. people also try to find explanation for things that they do not understand in the old times and they want to have something to look up to when times get desperate. although i myself believe that there is a god who started everything and i think at the base of all the existing religions, the teachings may be different but they pertain to the same all powerful being. i find it harder to believe that there is no god rather than there's one who is the architect of all things. there's nothing wrong with believing and having faith actually can make someone a better person.

God is constantly working to save people for Heaven. You, it seems, would rather pick on some particular evils that were done, and ignore the very real fact of Hell. If you are so in favor of saving people, become a missionary for God, and save people from eternal damnation, which is billions of times more painful than any little troubles you have talked about.

The only evil that has any significance is the evil of not accepting Jesus salvation. Why? Because all the evils of this life will be gone when this life is over. But the punishments of Hell are based on rejecting Jesus in this life. Hell and its pain last forever.

The fact of the matter is that no one has ever seen a miracle from God. People believe in what they say. If a person believes and does not believe the facts it means that believers are not the brain works. How can we treat people without a brain?
