Never tried it on windows however on Linux I found that if I closed the wallet and reopened it, the wallet will not sync. In the console window it shows a socket in use error.

Solution: Reboot the machine and open the wallet again and it works as expected.

I'm sure there is a better solution and perhaps v0.6 will fix this?

To upgrade to v0.5 on windows you probably just need to run the installer from https://musicoin.org/wallet.html

Nice! I just want to say that no matter what happens to the coin price (which admittedly I'm long), this project is deeply inspiring. All those years I spent as an anti-establishment starving artist/musician makes me personally appreciate what you guys are trying to do here. The UBI roadmap is so forward-thinking I can't applaud loudly enough. Two thumbs up.

I'm fairly new to this but managed to install the Musicoin wallet on Linux. Great!

However it quite quickly started eating up gigabytes of hard drive space. No so great.

I just want to have a wallet where I can backup and control the private key but I don't have dozens of gigabytes spare just to open a wallet.

Is it possible to simply have a Musicoin wallet without downloading the entire blockchain?

Yes, $MC have web wallet, based on myetherwallet. Also, you can use wallet from the $MC website.

Tao (XTO) is already working with Pandora and is designed around the existing music industry to work for everyone from local indie artists all the way up to the corporate giants and everyone in between.  And it launched a year ago, so Musi Coin is definitely not the only one, and IMO not the leading one.   

But Tao and the Infiniti Protocol that goes over it is designed to be the antidote to all-or-nothing blockchain silos, so here's to success for both $Music and $XTO! 

Livecoin also don't guarantee lawfulness and fair play

I don't think XTO is going to survive much longer. VSM may have a shot, but they did not raise much during their ICO. It's pretty much up to MUSIC and Musiconomi at this point.

I have not been on XTO slack. I do know that Bryce has a very bad reputation which can be seen on the first few pages of XTO's topic page. I don't think many people will want to take much of a chance with him. Maybe he'll redeem himself. If he does, I might give him a shot next go around. Until then, no thanks.

I actually prefer you to Souncloud and YouTube.  I've spent years trying to tackle these other poorly designed platforms but yours is just so easy and user-friendly.  I run both Ginseng and Raine (who are now on your site) and the track uploads were intuitive and effortless. 
I like that people are buying my plays (even if it is only for a small amount of cash) because it means they are more likely to actively listen to the music - since they've paid for it.  I like how you arrange my links for me to make it easy for people to find more information about the band, I like the clean and simply public profiles and I like that I can write posts with each song if I wish to.

Anyway, just wanted to drop by and say I think you're doing a great job

Yesterday transferred some  coins but now can't find transfer option all said there "Please download the desktop client and transfer funds to your local wallet for safekeeping."

I start to use windows wallet but hey hey, its syncing for 3h and it's like 75% ~13 peers :/ Why it takes so long? I want to fast send some musicoin to friend but this is not what im looking for.
