I'm starting to feel bullish, we're going down?  

I'm starting to get a head-spinning amount of bullishness.

so I'm guessing it's not a "coin" at all. I'm assuming that it's a wallet that writes code to allow for more exotic bitcoin transactions, and uses p2p network to allow users to connect to set up trades.

It looks exactly like the decentralized, trustless exchange I've been dreaming about.

Why have I not heard of this before and why is no-one else excited?

Forget about coffees, beers, sex toys and sheets ... microtransactions will be done by layer 2, BitPay, Open Transactions, ZipZap, Coinbase, VISA, etc who will agglomerate and settle using real bitcoin less frequently. I expect >80% of bitcoiners misunderstand the monetary nuclear fuel they are messing around with, its cute, exhilarating and terrifiying all at the same time watching the madness.

Security-wise the design of Bitcoin is not a POS, credit, debit national network class system, it is in the league of SWIFT, FEDWIRE, in fact it is already superior to them all as it does not rely on locale specific legal infrastructure for ultimate arbitration.

We don't want bitcoin to represent any underlaying value. Bitcoin is pure money.

That's certainly the theory, but practice shows it's viewed as a store of value with a price set in terms of its power to purchase other currency.

The total trade volume today (Wednesday Mar/05 00:00-23:59 UTC) on the exchanges that I monitor was ~524 kBTC, on the same level as the previous two days, almost exactly one half of the peak on Feb/25.

Volume in the Chinese exchanges increased 16% compared to yesterday (from 422 to 490 kBTC).  While Huobi decreased 27% (from 268 to 196), OKCoin jumped 108% (from 137 to 286) and surpassed Huobi by a large margin.  Indeed today's volume at OKCoin was the second largest in its history.  BTC-China and Bter fell by about 50%, and are still insignificant compared to the other two.

On the other hand, volume outside China fell 60% (from 85 to 34 kBTC).   The decrements at the three largest exchanges were  55% at Bitstamp, 61% at BTC-e, and 67% at Bitfinex.  Bitstamp is again the largest, but BTC-e is a close second, and Bitfinex a more detched third.

With these changes, the Chinese slice of the total volume rose to a historical record, 94%.

What's with everyone calling for a breakout right now? We just met the 3 month downtrend a couple days ago, and it takes a couple weeks to break out of a 3 month downtrend. It would make no sense on the chart if it just went up right now without any consolidation.
