Does anybody else consider moving to Kraken because of the recent Proof of Reserves?

Signed up today and had a look at it, platform seems really nice and professional. Not traded on it yet, but plan to soon.

the next poll should "which exchange do you use?"
would be interesting how many people use BTC-e and Kraken atm.

I guess several people going to join Kraken now.
It was about time.
Quite so.  Great service IMHO.
I'm also enjoying dealing with Kraken. Btw they did prove the fullreserve : http://www.coindesk.com/krakens-audit-proves-holds-100-bitcoins-reserve/

600$ wall seems less impressive at the moment (approx. 1700BTC).

Interesting discovery we just made in Risto's thread: price action seems to grow with (proxies for) the square of the number of users, as per Metcalfe's law.
What would be the current price projection based on this model?

Just eyeballing it (I haven't done a regression), I'd say pretty close to $500.  The usage statistics grow at about 3.2X per year, however, so the Metcalfe Value will bump into the real price very soon provided the network continues to grow.

I just rubbed it in my local grocer's face that I no longer consider myself a lifetime Gold member of their establishment because [ .. ] they ignored my request to add Bitcoin.
There, I found another reason to be skeptic about the success of bitcoin: bitcoiners will shop at Walmart instead of at their local grocer, therefore they will eat less healthy food, therefore the genetic predisposition to believe in privately issued cryptocurrencies will soon be weeded out of mankind's gene pool by natural selection.
Wink

I intend to buy at Walmart what I would have bought at local grocer (a large chain grocery, not a vegetable stand along the road). If Walmart doesn't have it I will get it at local grocer. My diet will stay approximately as unhealthy as it currently is.

Bitcoin is making me exercise more, Jorge! I made a special trip to the grocer today to tell the manager in person that I was taking business elsewhere. I was friendly and told him I understood he wasn't in a position to make a corporate decision but he could pass it up the chain if he wanted. I must have gotten an extra 10 feet of walking in today!

Not to mention the constant pacing back and forth when the price is dropping. I've never been in better shape! And just think of the pounds I've shed through my formerly thick hair falling out over the price drops.

(...and I've already passed on all the genes I'm likely to pass...)

I have lot of fiat, don't particularly like this one unless it's breakout which I doubt it is yet.

The worst thing is that I bought few dozen BTC at 560s 2 days ago and then sold them at 550s last night thinking it's going down more, lol. Hate that shit. Hate btc vs usd.

The fact that we went down 8 straight days was enough for me to go almost all in before  this bounce.

Good for you  Grin

Well, I still have space to buy with profit so generally it's ok, wish I haven't sold those last night though Tongue
