OMFG Coinbase cancelled my order where I bought at $560.

Wow, how long after the order did you receive the cancellation?
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Just email them and they will give you the BTC at the price you purchased it for. You're account was probably inactive for a long period of time and then a sudden large buy.

Just a day. It looks like this is partly my fault (not getting in at $560) because I wasn't checking that email account. I would have had another chance to buy (at a lower price even) if I was checking my email! Gah.

Oh my God, look at this:

https://nxtforum.org/news-and-announcements/incredible-opportunity!/

I can't believe people actually fell for this, but somehow I'm glad. This is what people get when dealing with scamcoins.

LOL you seem to be very concerned about NXT success. I see you spreading this all over the forum.

Are you afraid of NXT little Jimmy?

Look at the original thread to find what I think about you and your trolling posts.  Wink

i think this auction is a great promotion for bitcoin.
Bitcoin will be payed a lot attention by media.
...and the higher the bitcoins will be sold, the more publicity bitcoin will reward.
Charts will be on tv.
People will notice a chance, and fresh fiat will come in.
A low price, especially charts with a big downtrend, presented by the media, will not result in positive notice, and will need a lot of explanation to people interested in bitcoin.
Charts with an uptrend in the backgruond of the tv shows is a nice advertisement, and it is easier to understand than an explanation of the possibility of an uptrend after the auction.

A big drop in the next two weeks would be nice for getting cheap coins by a few.

A high rise, would be fine for publicity and fresh fiat and result in an uptrend, good for all of us. (finally to the moon)

let the chart rise to the moon! - only a few bucks to trigger the 12h SAR on bitstamp & huobi Wink

I dont understand what that has to do with nxt? If it was a hacker who took control of someones account they could do it with any coin ?

I don't even know how NXT works and I don't care. It's an altcoin and I have no time to spare for things as such.
If you think I'm retarded, that's okay. I've got an open mind and accept it all. I'm who I am.
And I'm not spreading this all over the forum, what? I posted this here, as this is the thread I frequent most in.
Point is, people were scammed out of their BTC "in exchange" for NXT. People wanted to get altcoins, and this is what they got.

Peace.

That was odd. It slowly dropped to 600 then suddenly to 607 and then right back to 600. Weird spike.

Don't you think its manipulation, some trying to manipulate in short range.

It's just normal trading in a thin book area. People are buying and selling and some of the buyers don't really care about a 1% price premium. Not everyone is a daytrader.

Shocked  What! I thought everyone was jointly day trading and manipulating the price, while banning China and drawing dinosaurs, you mean to tell me there's people who just want to buy some coins on a monday morning  Cheesy

I sense some sarcasm Wink

Everyday a few persons decide to buy a few bitcoins or more for diversification, to make a profit or because they like the protocole, his potential and they want to make a statement and support the whole decentralised idea
