How big of a deal is it if we go red again on weekly MACD?

Big deal for the $23 million in longs awaiting anxiously.  Roll Eyes

23.782 million, but who's counting?

Edit: 23.825 MM

I'm thinking that, despite the blocksize debate, or perhaps in spite of it, long is probably the way to go...

If we didn't get cheep coinz last week then it isn't going to happen.

common sense should prevail  Cheesy

green means go, buy Buy BUY!

Why encourage people to buy it ?  Read whole of history of Bitcoin again ............ It is crashing for 2 years ........ People who reading these threads never have enough power for pulling price up ...... So say the truth .... We are at Critical point

Maybe not, buy it's doubtful we'll get expensive coins anytime soon, either.

They say it will be some time this year, but they won't want to spoil their Christmas holidays dealing with an auction so I'd say the latest it can be postponed to is early December. We've got about a three month window for it to happen between then and now. They usually give a few weeks warning beforehand so the latest they can announce it is late November.

Huh Cry Roll Eyes :oplease i am new here.i want to buy and hoard bitcoins.my question is when is the right time to buy bitcoins at the cheapest price.thank you! Huh Undecided Cry

Saturday night. We often get a weekend discount after the paycheck Friday pump. Also, no wire transfers on weekends so bulls often run out of fiat and bears take advantage.

Of course, if too many people think that way, it doesn't happen.
@ billyjoeallen....thanks a lot.i have read all your discussions and replies here.it took me over 2wks to finish them.you are superb.i am a ''rich'' hyip gambler of over 9 years!.i invest in my e-currencies gold and bitcoins.i just wanted to know the best time to use my perfect money, payeer, payza, okpay, stp, neteller and skrill to buy bitcoins despite the fact that i still utilise bitcoins for my hyip gambles.since you say saturday night,i will be buying at least some bitcoins every saturday night from my hyip gambles prfit.thanks a lot.i will be sending  you some bitcoins sooner or later.please have a good day!!! You're noticing this now?

The 200k found gox coins are a much bigger dagger hanging over the market in my mind than the final 40k usgov coins (Aussies still have 20k to dump?)

So, it seems we are pretty much stuck between $220-$230 with no exciting moves. I guess it's just a good time to pick up more BTC.

You need to look for positives in every situation whatever your stance & agenda is with bitcoin. Now is a great time to buy, cheap coins. But if you're a bit of a pussy & you bought in sub 200 then take a profit & sell. There are good scenarios out of everything, you just need to look for them. Personally I'm buying every time I have spare fiat & HODLING, probably for at least 5 years.

It just doesn't make sense for me to sell at these prices.

Your recommendation to sell for those currently in the black does NOT make much sense, either...... a person who had bought under $200 would have likely sold a long time ago....

Time for a real marxist Revolution! Dat "hope n change" turned out to be an elaborate ruse to continue the status quo.

A new flower of rationality and government kindness is about to bloom:

Can I count on your vote lambie?

On Topic: Yep, still $230.

Some things take time to evolve or to review and analyze.

For today:  Stock market down 1.5%, and Bitcoin up 1%.

For the past six months: stock market down 10%, and bitcoin relatively flat - BTC bouncing largely in a $220 to $290 price range (which is largely a 7% variance in the bulk of the highs and lows).

If a guy were to find $1,000 in a brown paper bag on the street, and he was otherwise settled in his financial matters and he had some money invested in various diversified places (therefore, the $1,000 could be practically used for investing).

At this point, which one (stock market index funds or BTC) would be the better bet for long term or short term ?

Yes, where to put the $1,000 will depend in part on the guy's overall portfolio and his perception of risk and perception of one investment versus another.

Time for a real marxist Revolution! ... Can I count on your vote lambie?

I think real ones involve guns and ...stuff, but what do I know?  Can't even spell my own name right.
Are you thinking "election," by any chance?

US citizens are way too dependent on government to try such radical things anymore. We just elect people who fight revolutions elsewhere, involving guns, brown people, and (usually) sandy locales. Anywho... back to you selflessly saving vulnerable rubes from being scammed out of their allowance and such...

i think stock market being down doesn't auto = bullish for bitcoins... because if they do another round of QE then all the money will be at the QE stock marker pump rally party ... as soon as it starts to become more obvious the stock market is going to decline then the election will turn into all about the economy... although another round of QE is probably going to do more damage than good.
