Hey guys, I just landed at Haneda airport in Tokyo. It's already late here and I'm f... tired so I'm not gonna do anything tonight. I just wanted to post a cool thing I saw at the airport. Some of you probably heard about a store called Bic Camera. There are many of them here. They sell electronics but also some other stuff. Well they accept Bitcoin as a payment. How cool is it that one of the first things I see here is Bitcoin related ? I hope I can post more, much more tomorrow. Thank you!! It's great to have someone to do our travel reconnaissance; that should it easier for us old farts to find our way around the world with less stress once Bitcoin moons again... and again... and oh, WTF ̅a̅g̅a̅i̅n̅

How did you actually end up so early in BTC?? I told my luckbox story already numerous of times..... A $3 billion market cap was not so long ago in bitcoin. We were there in late 2014 and a couple of times in 2015 - as late as September/October 2015. That is quite remarkable, when you ponder upon it.

Ill kick off the Saturday action, Nice romantic surprise cheese board and posh wine. *edit* a sprinkle of children's pants perfects the mood. Though often angers the parents* Going down nicely.... Very nice! Looks delicious, healthy and romantic. One of my favourite snacks is hummus, garlic stuffed olives and brown rice crackers (Mary's for me)

Are there any WO snooker fan members?
I don't claim to have any special skill at the game, but I quite enjoy playing pool. Really enjoy the "actual physics" involved with the game. I used to be very competitive around 20 years ago (8-ball, 9-ball). Hell, even my girlfriend at the time ranked up nicely. Then drug abuse really kicked in. Now it's a passion to watch snooker. I do very well commentating, figuring out what's on the player's minds - so friends tell me. Still play a few times within a year. Higgins is off to the final after a little drama. One of the best performing players under pressure. Probably against Trump.

Out of smerits so I owe U. Made me chuckle. Nice edit :-)
What's also funny is if there is someone working their way through that thread and comes across your post. They will be like WTF?
Good point. I'd better add a disclaimer at some point or my existence will go full Life Of Brian. thats a shame the edit can be seen.. otherwise a great story building a rudimentary time machine that goes wrong, a bold escape from the time cops, saved by stealing a TARDIS thats later destroyed etc.. pffft. so now you can tell it edited. you just crushed a future readers dreams.

I went out there, it was horrible
I spent almost my whole first 3 years in the forum from early 2014 to early 2017 almost exclusively involved in this thread, and then the next year, I ventured out about 10% of the time into other parts of the forum. I suppose currently, i am venturing out to other parts of the forum in the 10% to 20% arena. This thread does have links to almost anything that you would want in bitcoinlandia, and seems that we have purged out a vast majority of the dumbasses, alt coin pumpers and bitcoin FUD spreaders... save a few that are already largely known herein who are active in this thread. I went out there, it was horrible Your service will forever be honoured. Perhaps on a Globb0 day........ Possible days available for honoring Globb0 = Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays or Tuesdays.

^^ Damn LFC you made me just look back to my first POST in here, that looks ugly Decided to dig mine up https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199141.msg4335360#msg4335360Looks like I was mining shitcoins to start my BTC stash building. I ended up with 4 rigs in the end and sold them off about 6 months later having made a small but tidy stash and recouped about half of my investment in the hardware but had already amassed enough BTC to easily make up the difference. The rest is history. Gonna start digging around on some early posts of other WO hodlers for a laugh. Hah, I remember those shitcoins and the giftcoin dev trying to dump the premine. Lol Here's mine. Hi all, Dammit forgot Tab throws me to next control so rather than indenting this line I just posted a one line "Hi all"! DOH! Looks like my first post will be an edit! First off Back when Bitcoin started I was a heavy F@H contributor and was on OCN working to World domination (Which we accomplished!) But in retrospect wasting all those thousands on electric and seeing no discernible impact I regret not Starting this back then. Well better late than never I guess. I tried to jump on the Doge bandwagon but Only accomplished 20k so far and it looks dead now for the returns. I am currently trying Earthcoin that just launched but have no hope for it. I'll try to get a few thousand and stash it. From what I can gather the best method to make BTC atm is to use a Multipool. As soon as I get a few grand Earthcoin I will switch to that unless someone helps a n00b out and explains why This is a wrong move. I have been reading for a week or so and have to say the amount of info is completely overwhelming. It took me 2 days to get my card crunching at a respectable hash. I am using a 7870XT which is the cut down Tahiti with 1536 shaders. I'm doing about 400Kh/s on it, If anyone is running one of these and can help me squeeze more out of it I will be grateful and throw some of my hard earned coins your way. Also for some reason after a day of crunching my system is becoming very unresponsive at int 13 (optimal so far) where as it was perfectly fine previously. I use a second card for htpc on this system but I don't think that has any bearing on this issue. I have to lower the INT to 10 for my system to become fluid again but that drops my hash in half. OK well thats my intro so hopefully some of you guys are bored enough to respond. BTW, tysat Love GB myself! They're my second team after the Pats. Hope Rogers and Cobbs get back in time! @gentlemand, good one!

That's impressively erudite. I'll guess the average first post here is a failed attempt to get a loan with no collateral or 'is there being free moneys bitcoin?'

Looks like getting to $6000 will be harder then most thought. Was getting to $5800 way too fast so some pull back was bound to happen.
