what's behind this insane dump?

Probably because the entire market (especially Bitfinex and equally Tether exposed Binance) is nothing but a giant scam?  The ONLY valid tweet I've seen regarding Bitcoin in YEARS.  This market has become a scam rivaling that of Jewish occupied Wall Street.  Probably because....they're here:

Bitcoin doubles in price for absolutely no reason over the span of a few days, then drops 25% in the span of one single second on no news and for no reason, but yea, it's not an entirely rigged, fake market at all.

Impossible to enter new orders or tweak old ones on bitmex for like 20 minutes. It's wise to keep things set up in advance to make sure your ass is not too far from a chair when the music stops.

Wow, what a show! I've never seen bitcoin in such a volatile candle.  600-800 jumps like fighting a big fish. Must have gone back and forth a dozen times over 5 minutes.  Tempted to trade it.

of course, there is manipulation, no one denies this

that doesn't make btc worthless, we still like the technology, and the idea of being your own bank and being able to send or receive money anywhere, anytime, in few seconds, for very low fees, even if it's not entirely decentralized

so unless you have a better option (silver or gold are useless), we will stick with bitcoin
