well after buying 1 coin at 150, then 2 coins at 200, then selling all 3 at 205, then buying 2 more coins at 400, then selling at 450, then buying another coin at 500, then selling at 515, then giving up completely, I bought another coin at 813. I did what I said I would do before this time and printed out a cold wallet and locked it in the safe. total coins owned : 1  Undecided

Maybe I'll do better this time.

Every time you think about one coin, think about a coin worth somewhere between $10K and $300K USD, and that will give you an idea of the groupthink consensus of the future realistic value here by some of the more serious grokkers.

You've done well.  Wink

<quote>Here, watch me light a fart on fire.</quote>

Another charming adolescent male.

I think you may have missed the ironic part of that.
Hhhm...you think?
I'm not going to argue but fart lighting is a frat-house activity isn't it and I really have seen enough soft-porn on here to realise this thread is essentially an old boys club.

I'm covering this subject (the sexism around here) in another thread, so best avoid any further comment
peace
Nan

Nan,

Great, I think it's good to be discussed, (although maybe another thread *is* better) and if you noted the tone and content of my post, I tried to convey my sense that this thread is the most irreverent (and sexist, entitled, rude, offensive, disparaging, insulting, ugly and nasty) of the threads. But, hey, we're human; and, which is why I jokingly called it the snake pit (and illustrated how that might read).

Why don't you link to your thread, since at this point, it's not even 'exactly' off topic. However, like you, many that hang out in this 'lobby' also take part in relevant dialogue elsewhere (also mentioned in my post, only which you omitted in your quote), including the Foundation forum.

BTW, it's probably a young boys club, if anything, but I think I actually have seen someone light a fart in college, which is why it is a joke. No?

Cheers,
Crypty
Apologies for appearing over-sensitive.
Perhaps this goes someway to explaining my sentiment - this is average Australian male behaviour

And the story

This should provide everyone with enough giggles for the day. Smiley

i'm liking this 800 slow and steady rise. The last time we were here, I felt like a ticking time bomb was about to go off.

For anyone who bought at the beginning of the year, this is certainly too good to be true, but it is true.   Only time will tell if today's purchasers will do as well.   My guess is yes, eventually . . .

Absolutely, as long as you're patient. As Mr Reptilia always says, you can't really lose with BTC.  I bought back in at 5100CNY last week and it promptly corrected....sit tight and back into the profit zone.

Probably the most useful thing this site has taught me is that buy and hold is a good strategy.

man, i am mere dollars away from hitting my "sell off 20% of my holdings" point. that would really help bootstrapping my start up.

if it keeps creeping up, no sleep for me tonight  Smiley

How about if it hits your number, put a trailing stop loss on it, or even a parabolic one? You'd have to watch it manually I think, I haven't see anywhere you could set it up, (fucking infrastructure's stuck on dial-up!) but you could just run numbers and set bitcoinreminders so you can sleep. Other guys set alarms... (idk how)

You can use a trailing stop or stop loss with this client, bear in mind it will run on your pc, but is better than nothing. Only works on MtGox's API.

https://github.com/genbtc/goxgui

Hey jatajuta,

Holy wonderful! Thanks mucho! So, I can run this client in mac to trade gox?!?!? I haven't read the whole post carefully.

WAHOOOO, heading towards api implementation little by little. (My older brother is trying to get me to just write everything myself, but I'm supern00b at coding, and he has... 31 years of experience (he's nerdier))!!! I digress... CHOO CHOO !!!

It's uncanny how the western exchanges are leading the price rise this time. China is lagging along. I'm guessing the hype cycle around bitcoin is already dying down in China, while it's still raging in the western countries.

I hereby officially pronounce you the clown of this forum. Please, keep us entertained.

+1 Been ignored here since I read his first few comments. I don't mind bears at all, but when they're being silly-bearish with obviously flawed logics I can't stand it.

Single digits by monday. How is that a flawed logic?

Price climbing to $900 and there will be some minor selloff after reach the target methinks. So I'll put some bet between $500-$550 and sell back at $1000.
