During the week of Mar 13-20, Balaji's bet looked smart, but right now....meh. Balaji=reverse mindtrust inasmuch as both positions (taken at the time they were taken) represented the "extreme" read of the situation. The reality is always somewhere in between. Or, it was just a publicity stunt, it's hard to say.

Fucking conspiracy theorists. Some dude i came to slowly build personal relations with over a couple of years now, and this is a rare type of event in my life, actively texted me today about chemtrails. I was like "R U SERIOUS?!". I had these visual, clear words in my mind: "the show must go on. Always...". After re-texting a few dozen lines of debunkenings and solid reasonings against various absolutely insane sub-theories and statements, i came to a conclusion: There goes a friendship candidate. Years wasted. Go to Start (as in "Monopoly", the game) I mean, i wouldn't agree to ban Telegram, WhatsApp and the likes, but these message groups avalanche in mobile social media clearly goes over the top of most peoples heads. Still i got no WhatsApp, i am not in a single messaging group in other messenger apps, of which i only use one .more or less regularly. Or, it was just a publicity stunt, it's hard to say.
Easy to tell: A rise to $1m would be like from 3% to 100%, based on the price level when the bet was made. Think of it, at least 33-fold gain within 90 days. This bet almost totally can't be serious. And that "almost" means there's a damn small probability that it is serious. Insanity might be a point, too.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/spain-cave-500-days-beatriz-flamini-1.6810428 Spanish hodler emerges after 500 days in cave She began her hibernation on Nov. 20, 2021 — just as Bitcoin fell below $60k in a second failed mooning attempt that year.
She emerged into the light of spring in southern Spain on Friday wearing dark glasses, carrying her cold wallet and smiling broadly. She was greeted by a phalanx of cameras and her support team who, wearing masks, encircled her in a hug.
She described her experience as "excellent, unbeatable," and said that time had flown by.
"When they came in to get me, I was asleep. I thought something had happened. I said: 'Moon already? Surely not.' I hadn't finished my ramen."

Well man , i think you can give him a opportunitty if he its not an idiot hardcore about any shit conspiracy. If its only one and in a soft way..... you know everyone can have mistakes in some areas. About the other point , yes the shit spam in groups of no matter what aplication are really shit, for that most of the "serious" groups ended with "only administrator can write message" because a lot of idiots keep saying shit or spamming like retards and they dont check any information or fact.
About theories, and i think i said it before, i really think if we are gonna a multipolar order again, the BTC can be favored by that world. Why?, because we can have a currency in one side and another in the other side (CBDC) and the BTC can be the currecy of change between this "two worlds". Because you cant use the CBDC of china/rusia in occident and you cant use usd CBDC in "orient" so.... you need to exchange if you wanna buy something in the "other side", and here comes the BTC, i dont know if this its gonna happen ina black market or in a normal one, but i think this really can happen.

They move from chem trails to moon landing conspiracies...its just insane and impossible to have a sane discussion with them.
They refuse to listen to facts and use due diligence to do a fact check and just fall back on layers of logical fallacies.
I've dealt with a few and have just given up and cut ties and wish I had done it sooner and not wasted my time in the first place.
TLDR: I agree get way quick there is no hope for them when they start evangelizing.

I mean no offence here, but your attitude is juvenile. Who cares if your friend believes in chem trails or other obvious crazy conspiracy theories. Is he hurting anyone by believing in that? People believe in all sorts of sh1t, and so what, I bet you even believe in things others disagree with. Perhaps even some of your existing friends and family. And why try to debunk his crap? If someone thougt chocolate ice cream was the best but you thought vanilla ice cream was the best would you argue with them about that then cut them out of your life when you couldn’t convince them. Seriously, cutting people off because their thinking doesn't align with yours is exactly why the world is so god damn divided these days. Whatever happened to agree to disagree then continue on with things that you both agree. I actually have a friend who believes in more than just chem trails, he also believes in a flat earth, fake moon landing, mystical energy sources, and other crap. Yeah, I think he is crazy, but he is a nice guy and I enjoy his company. In fact, being that he is open to others ideas he is now also a bitcoiner. I have other acquaintances who are ardent no coiners and they are very unaccepting of others and other ideas.
