Mit.Gox CEO宣布退出比特币基金会 比特币价格继续下跌

Reply with quote  #1

The most interesting notion that Gox may be being purchased by outsiders makes a TON of sense!!

Imagine you're Mark-- totally sick of running your company, dudes are getting in your way while you're carrying your scrumptious coffee-beverage to work (idiots), and no one really understands your pure awesomeness... you have maybe 10,000 BTC (idk!?!?) and someone offers you millions!! to walk away from gox == yummy coffee-beverages without idiots.

What would you do?

Win-Win-Win

It actually adds up nicely.

The biggest problem is it makes a ton of sense -- since when does Bitcoin operate under such parameters? Wink

and when has GOX ever done what made sense?

Nice. And maybe you can insert a nice little backdoor in the code before you sell it, too.

Extrapolating from Chinese --> English on google translate, it's all stuff people reading this thread already know. It seems to say that Mt. Gox had to close bitcoin withdrawals, prices crashed as a result, and he's out of the Bitcoin Foundation.

Well, THAT's true. You got me there.

Honestly, I suspect Mark's ability to ignore the mounting nastiness of this situation is waning, no matter how intelligent he may be-- no man is an island, and the amount of pressure, no matter his intention, in this environment must be quite high. There's even crazy German dudes threatening him, publicly. At some point, everyone breaks (loses) and takes an 'out'.

Too... much... sense... does... not compute...

Simple explanations go against the goal of a quarter of the members here, which is to talk up their books and make money at the expense of others. Sock puppet accounts, multiple personalities, bad manners, liberal profanity and a tenuous grasp of English are all optional but encouraged. Acting lessons are recommended to create convincing personas. If you don't see pages full of ignored posts you're not doing it right.

Just a short question:

OK, ignoring that I 'use' gox to trade, when we aren't in a post-exponential shit-storm, I keep a subscription to Sierra Chart and run it on a virtual PC to watch the chart and do my TA magicky stuff. The problem with the exchanges is that they essentially 'break' when you can really make good money, forcing your orders to the sidelines (they're non-reactive to market and limit order on volume spikes) and so it almost doesn't matter anyway. I'm prolly not the right one to ask.
windjc, seleme, aminorex, adambtsgtsrtdtdtsdts... who else trades a ton?

Hope that helps.

I more often end up calling the bottom within 5%, and then proceed to panic sell as soon as I acquire them..

I definitely didnt buy at 155 on Gox and sell at $170. Nooo way, didnt do that.
In april I bought at $50.01 by bidding in front of the walls at the bottom of $50. I then sold at $57... It seemed like good profit at the time.

I sold 3900 LTC at around $4.5 and then watched it climb to $48 within HOURS.
