Its funny how a 7 billion dollar market can be easily manipulated by 6 million dollars worth of coins.

So what is this persons strategy?

this is "old school" Bitcoin trading. The trick is, the price will move in the direction of the huge wall. He's getting people to set their sells lower and lower. He inches his wall down, then BOOM, he'll put the wall much lower and buy up everything in between for cheap, raising the price, catching bears off guard. At least, that's one way the game was played at lower prices on Gox.

Ah...the good old days...

I suppose that there is no training or exam required in order to trade at Bitstamp, right?  One can learn by doing?
All I need to do is open an account, transfer in my 500,000 BTC, click on random buttons and see what happens; right?
 Wink  <-------- just in case.

It's easier if you send coins to an experienced trader like me. I'll let you know your results in 2 weeks.

Has the seller realised that his 10K order went in as 'Limit' order and is he now in the processing of 10K BTC dump, take 2?

Or was it just a whale having a little fun?

I certainly aint going to bed anytime soon. Something massive could he about to hit Bitcoin.

I sold first thing I saw that wall...

But, those set of 3 market sells of about 300, after the wall was removed? Yeah, that was him.

His wall also reduced by the same size.

Definitely looks like he wants to sell.

What are the chances these coins came from Mtgox? He could sell all the way down to $400 and still make 3x profit if he bought at $100.
