The wall is there for it to disappear. We will head below 150 when it does.

You can never be 100% certain, but I'd say chances are good you will be disappointed if you're still hoping to get those 117 bids filled.

Was that all? I was expecting so much more.

there appears to be a bug in bitcoinity which makes this wall flash up and down when ever someone takes a bite.

its not over.

Hmm, interesting at stamp with the 8k sell wall. Usually only altcoins get these outrageous visible sell/buy walls, that will magically get eaten in an hour with a volume that equals the entire previous week.

Don't be surprised if soon, it seems like everyone suddenly will start "buying" that wall, and then, after the wall has been "bought", no rise will come, only a slow downfall Smiley

Exactly what im expecting. It drains all the fiat (or, in altcoin markets, most likely BTC).

Still over 7k btc of the wall left, 3k down.

$4.1m USD.

I'm ready to throw some more money at it and scoop up some more coins, but I am not sure what price to target.  The massive wall on bitstamp is slowly getting eaten away...not sure where I want to pull the trigger...

It's probably not over for bitstamp, but it looks pretty over for Gox.

All numbers were collected by hand from the site http://bitcoinwisdom.com. Beware of possible errors.

For each exchange, the numbers include only the trade volume to/from the currencies listed in the rightmost column. Trade between BTC and other cryptocoins, such as LiteCoin, is NOT included.

Dates on the header line are UTC. Specifically, "01/15" means "from 01/15 00:00:00 UTC to 01/15 23:59:59 UTC". (Beware that Bitcoinwisdom uses your local time, so the date may appear to be off by 1 day.  For example, if you are 2 hours west of Greenwich, it may show "01/14 22:00" when the UTC time is "01/15 00:00".)

NOTE: MtGOX has suspended withdrawals of Bitcoins and national currencies.  Therefore it is essentially isolated from other markets, and its price is completely out of the norm.  The trade volumes above may be meaningless.

why would you think it would be "over" for bitstamp?  just because there is one big sell off?

.. visible sell walls like that are bought back by the same people who post them. This is to stimulate demand and to demonstrate how high the buying pressure is.
You will buy into this wall, because it seems that everyone are buying into it and as soon as the wall breaks, it will go to da moon!
But really you are just helping one guy/group to get rid of his/its coins with a fixed price.
With an unregulated market system, it's not hard to be a 0% fee trader.

This lag actually helps. It makes people more rational, albeit out of fear.

Then when he dumps the rest, he'll use the money you gave him to buy it all back lower, with a nice profit to go along with it.

Today Sunday Feb/23, the BTC trade volume outside China (excluding MtGOX) was ~53 kBTC, practically the same as yesterday.

On the other hand, the trade volume in China was ~338 kBTC, 20% higher than yesterday's.  OKCoin grew more than Huobi.

As a consequence, the Chinese shre of the total volume in all the exchanges (excluding MtGOX) was 86%, up from yesterday's 83%.

Bitstamp was still the leader outside China (~21 kBTC), followed by Bitfinex (~16) and BTC-e (~14)

Gox isn't a market, its a joke. Why do you even care what is happening at the exchange that couldn't?
