.@Richy_T: what are these?

Those are the mined blocks.

White square for a regular block, black square for an empty block, red for 99% full and purple for 75% full (but not more than or less than that).

I use various services to hold my coins. I recognize that I'm dependent on what the institutions do ...

No, please don't. If you like to keep your bitcoins save against hacked exchanges, yourself or hardware failure, just create a paper wallet at https://www.bitaddress.org/

Of course, if you do, you have no assurance that bitaddress.org does not have a copy of your private key. Sure, it is said that the code runs locally. Did you audit it? At that instance?

If you're gonna be paranoid, you better noid harder.

Note: you can download the bitaddress page locally, and run it on an airgapped computer. Not too complex an operation to be sure your funds are safe.

Meh, pretty dull price action at the moment. Wonder when the next pump or dump will happen.

It's pretty boring without both the fume & esctasy of extreme movements on here Smiley

Post your address on here and we'll send some armed police around. If Bitcoin itself doesn't offer any action then let the forum add some spice to your life.

I seem to remember a service where you can pay to get people to tweet bad things about you. That always struck me as a charming idea that should have been more popular.

That's online pussy shit. The only thing that makes you feel more alive than a new all time high is the cold steel of a uniformed bigot's gun barrel working its way into your thong.

I don't think these are mutually exclusive business ideas. Police can tweet some pretty mean stuff, dawg. Cry

I'm the king of sideways. Makin' mo $$$$$$$$$.

Margin funding interest rate is down a bit and that concerns me, but we are close to a 4 hr Moving average crossover, and there might be a short term pump. I just don't wanna play anymore. Not with ~20% APR guaranteed.

Everything everything is so damn risky. Even if there is a consensus on larger blocks, there will prolly be a spike before I even find out about it. I'll have to get in on the retracement. So what? I'm not counting coins anymore. I'm just looking for ROI.

Price will likely double or more with 2MB blocks so what are the damn miners waiting for?  Is basic economic literacy really so rare?
