Banksters (JPMorgan?) realized their trolls won't manage to drop the price any lower with their fud - there are no weak hands left apparently. So they just decided to bite the bullet and buy at the current price.  Grin

@ragnar0k
Well started a few days ago, but like you I don't get where this comes from... The "3500 double bottom" maybe...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg22122795#msg22122795

But... I was watching the chart... all of a sudden one big green line! It has to be a coordinated thing by someone with a lot of money to make it raise like that... happened in 3 minutes

Nope, it happened so fast because it broke out the downtrend line.
I had my finger on "buy" when it hit 3800 and I was like "naaah it's a trap, don't fall in it".
Yeah. A trap.  Roll Eyes

Go back and watch that Elliot Wave analysis again.

Did you watch it? Because the dude doesn't say it's going to $200 prior to $20k as you stated, he says the correction is nearly complete for this leg, and it could then go to $79k before a much deeper correction.

"Seven to Nine Thousand", not $79k.

Have a look at the scale. He also clarifies it later on on the logarithmic scale. He expects it to go to $7000 to $9000 for the final wave, then correct in a 2 wave retrace to retest the start of wave 5 (which would be the $180 level) before leaving this entire range for good.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Nice little rise in the last hour I see... currently $3915USD/$4830CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

AltcoinCash is also up... $448USD/$553CAD (Coinmarketcap).

No big deal. We're basically back to where we were 5 days ago.

I'll start getting excited again when it passes $4.5k.

This is so dumb. Bitcoin is not going to be 3 figures ever again, because if it does it would be over. Bitcoin is supposed to grow similar to BRK-A, in other words, making new floors, and these floors are not to be crossed ever again. This is called progress.

This is what will happen in the long term. A retrace from $7000 to $180 is ridiculous. It would need to be due a fatal bug discovered or something almost impossible. Not even the hardforking idiots with their BCash and segwit2x garbage would cause that much damage to the price.

Im expecting the price to break into ATH when we get past $4100's nearest resistance, then sky is indeed the limit.

Nice post. I was hoping someone would post a credible alternative scenario.

Hope you're right.

I don't see how it could go to 180$. Too many people are hodlers and ready to buy at a higher price.

Looks like it. (P.S. Before everyone goes jumping into their bunkers, Trump didn't "declare war". It's just sabre rattling from the N. Korean's saying that he did.)

Man, "declare" and "war" must be words that the robo trading bots look for to spike a massive buy order, lol. All perfectly timed I'm sure.

I must confess something...

When I discovered Bitcoin about 2 years ago it blew my mind. I'm a scientist/engineer and my job is to design things, so I immediately understood the idea and its implications. Much like Andreas Antonopoulos's experience, I found myself skipping meals and forgetting to sleep while reading all a could find about it. I thought that this invention had the power and potential to change the world for the better. To help people. And I still believe that.

But something spoiled the dream for me. Greed. I was lucky enough to buy a good amount of BTC when they were worth 200 € each. I didn't plan it, it was pure luck. And then I found myself thinking about how much money I could earn, when I should sell my BTC and become rich (in a fiat setting), etc. I didn't care about Bitcoin "the world-changing invention" anymore, all I ended up caring was how much money I could make out of it.

Things are looking up, and my goal may be realised sooner that I thought, but is this a healthy goal? Are we all supporting or destroying Bitcoin by thinking like this? I see this greed in many people's posts here in the forum. It saddens me. Many here talk pompously and boasting how they're going to sell their stash when its fiat-based value reaches a set target. Is this all you see in Bitcoin? A money-making machine? Are we all failing to see the bigger picture?

Sorry for using WO to post this... I just wanted to get it off my chest.
Greed is good, comrade.

Money is a requirement of life in this culture. Why would you have a problem with enhancing your life, the freedom you have and the things you can do? Is a Real Job™, where you essentially live as a slave, more attractive to you? If so there is nothing stopping you from living such a life. Having money simply gives you the option to not have to work if you don't want to, or to choose your work if you must have one. It's a good thing on all fronts.
