Pfiou I was tired so went to bed early, at 4994€, during my sleep 5000€ was passed and left behind, then a correction, still above 5000€.

During the summer I said that if 5000€ was hit before end of year I would buy a Porsche, glad I changed my mind since then. Not that I won't buy the Porsche eventually, but right now it would feel like overpaying it, when BTC is that hot and can easily double again in the next months.

Lease all.

I drive a leased car everyday, but it's my company paying for it.

The Porsche would be well used, no leasing for that. The leasing cost of a new one would be enough for me to live without working, so not gonna happen...yet. When BTC is at 100K€, all bets are off !

It's MAD ... 2x in 1 month

I remember the rise between 1200 Euros and ... 2400 Euros, too.
Same crazy show.
I agree with you those were crazy times and it is still rising now at the moment i cannot believe it how much it has gotten since i started it has doubled the price.

To people who are worried about Bitcoin in a bubble at any given time, I would say that the price is always going to show you where Bitcoin is heading long term. If it can hit a price once, it will eventually hit that price again, and exceed it by a long shot.

So fear not and hodl.  Grin

This is the only thread I read here, that's plenty to keep up with. I'm going to have to cruise some of the other ones, after today. I'm sure hilarity ensues.

Actually this is a lot higher than I expected.  I thought that BTG would be in mBTCs.  So BTG is getting priced more like ETH since we do know that one of its purpose is to take over all those GPU hashrates after ETH go over to PoS.

As for the DDoS, I thought that something was wrong with my connection when I could not access GDAX/Bittrex/Kraken ALL at the SAME time 12+ hours ago, even though it lasted for only a few minutes.  So it's a rehearsal for what's to happen later today....

a question: will Bitcoin become "Basic income" for everybody?

for example: invest 100 today and earn 1000 sometimes in the future?

It won't rise 4ever. But until it reaches to a few millions, the price won't be stable. Meaning that the higher it gets, 5% swings will be unlikely. Maybe if you will see 1% per month or year, you will be lucky! Smiley

I hope one day 1BTC=1BTC and no one should be able to gain more bitcoins than existing ones
Try to be productive and such things on the other hand...

I believe that I understand what you are saying, and realistically, it does not make any sense - because bitcoin is always going to be priced in terms of other things, whether they are dollars, ounces or gold or loaves of bread.

There will come a time when we will just need to produce stuff, to be productive, to create wealth inside the "coin community" that we are! We will compete with other countries. And our system will need to be better than theirs! Smiley ... So we can be attractive as a good viable incentive to empower our network. Cheesy Cheesy

BTCitcoin will always exist and maintain a good value as long as there will be a system with lesser incentives for their users than BTCitcoin! Smiley

Don't.

The rest of the threads are like this:

Signature campaigner: Do you think Bitcoin will be regulated?

Someone: <gives a reasonable answer>

Signature campaigner: I think it will be regulated.

Signature campaigner: I think maybe some country will regulate it.

Signature campaigner: Countries regulate some day.

Signature campaigner: Regulate Bitcoin think.

Signature campaigner: I think maybe some country will regulate it.

20 pages later:

Signature campaigner: I think maybe some country will regulate it.

Is it just me or did Kraken EUR/BTC just go bonkers on Bitcoinwisdom? Displaying 27089151782715.50 or some ridiculous number for me right now and very little volume. I hope BTC will get there someday, but seems like their API or something of the sort broke.
