If bitcoin goes up, it is a profit really, because it opens up new opportunities to influence the world to the better. Also in this case it rewards us with a 7-figure fiat position.
Oh, please, bear with me too. I can see clearly that you have a very complex way of losing!!! It almost feels like not losing at all, doesn't it? If you don't accept defeat, you can never lose

You bears are not helping to stop the rally with all these double bottoms all over the place. The last one has just been formed at 740$ with hardly 2 hours in between.

China seems a bit more uncertain about reaching for the stars again than Stamp or Gox.
Once Bitstamp confidently passes its ATH it will probably inspire Gox and btcchina to rally with it as well, bringing Gox close to its ATH in turn. Then when Gox passes its ATH all hell will break loose and btcchina will be catapulted towards its own ATH with Gox and Stamp following closely behind. It's like the three big exchanges are using each other as slingshots around their respective ATHs.

I believe with all the money on the table at the moment, for those new to bitcoins and on the exchanges, they will jump at the chance to snap up anything below 500. If you have tasted the waters with a 0.1 buy over 700, and saw it go down to 450 shortly after, you will be much less timid at committing when a drop below 500 appears. For others, its just a case of follow the leader...if enough positive chatter on this forum appears for a while, price tends to correlate. It was only a few days ago it was so negative... and the slamming against amateur exchanges. What I find worrying is the fact when big money arrives, we will really be played. Especially if they go the professional exchange route of 'special' orders to allow preferred customers to jump ahead of the queue in trades. Only way to combat that, is to buy and hold till ready to realise a few profits along the way.

China is not following. The arbitrage is quickly closing. What happens next is that arbitrageurs buy back in China and sell the equivalent in Bitstamp. At least I will do that

At least I will do that Did you sell @ over 1100 @ BTCChina? Do you buy back in China when Stamp/Gox are at the same level or before (say 770 bitstamp - 820 BTCChina)?

Arbitrage is best when the price differential is the highest. I got more than 50%. Looking at 6 month chart, China has equalled Bitstamp about half of the time. I see no reason to pay any premium this way. It is a little bit tricky to do it calmly, because in my case there is overall position management, swing trading and arbitrage all working together. It is like a requirement to think with 3 different brains simultaneously.

Excuse me sire, I would prefer a ticket to Mars if you please!!! Co-incidently, I actually have a background in space physiology, and have worked with people involved in missions to Mars. Bitcoin is interesting to think about from the perspective on an interplanetary currency. However, I presume there would have to be a MarsCoin alt given that communication times are so long! For now though... like the real deal, lets just focus on getting this rocket off the ground
