Bitcoin uses midnight UTC by convention so it’s not like forex. You can check it yourself. Just watch here at midnight UTC. A new candle will appear. https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitstamp/btcusd

Well, I sold 13
Do you plan to purchase back in in the $2k's? Asking for a friend.. That's a young man's game and Searing is retired. Once you sold a largish chunk of bitcoin, it is difficult to buy it back, especially if you used the proceeds "to live". Mining, maybe, but mining is close to being kaput (short term) at above 7c/kwh.

I've read a post of his in another thread. Yes 13 BTC is a good size chunk for him. However, he has plenty more. Even if he shuts down all his miners, (he may have already, I'm not certain on that fact.) He'll be fine BTC wise.

Do you plan to purchase back in in the $2k's? Asking for a friend.. IIRC, that's not a major (no pun intended) part of his healthy stash. So, considering he has already cashed out enough for all his expenses till official retirement in 2020 I would say he will do very well by not doing anything. No need to rebuy and risk his plan IMHO. I am sure I wouldn't do it if I were in his case. Us peasants need to risk a little more.

https://twitter.com/MustStopMurad/status/1066776756756070405A large chunk of people calling for "$1500" right here makes me think a bounce is in order.
We need to give FAUX-bears FALSE HOPE... give them a BULL TRAP which challenges local assumptions, *THEN* destroy them FULLY, crushing their spirits beyond recognition. Then we bottom.
Murad is wrong. We are either done or close to it. Perhaps, we would retest and even violate, but there would be no sudden plunges, IMHO. We just had one (from 6500 to 3456). That said, maybe btc is one crazy nut and would want to exterminate 90% of positions. Then, who knows.

Whatever happened to the $1000 party?
It got cancelled. I did not attend, but celebrated in my own way.

I'm literally just sitting here waiting for Bitcoin to crash on all of my friends for Christmas so I can buy back in. I feel dirty.

Maybe you should just try earning coin through the shitcoin bounties. The amount your earn will be small, but it's usually better than hitting all the faucets. Unless you pick some ICO that can't even get to an exchange so you can dump.

A small distraction (OT) to btc pricing minutiae: https://www.technologyreview.com/s/612458/exclusive-chinese-scientists-are-creating-crispr-babies/A daring effort is under way to create the first children whose DNA has been tailored using gene editing. This would open a Pandora's box, most definitely. All talk about current inequality is just about numbers that could be attained one way or another. Not so simple if you are essentially MADE genetically different. For maximum publicity they started with the gene that is accessory to HIV (CCR5). No active CCR5 present, no HIV. Will it stop there? Of course, not.

I say we just clone Bob over and over and make that our entire race.
It would be quite interesting undertaking to compare bitcoin hodlers/ mid-early investors (say, prior to 2015 or 16) to an average human population. My expectation would be that there would be many interesting traits. Something relating to risk taking (maybe even excessive risk), patience, stubbornness, etc. As Jesse Livermore (or his alter ego) have said: It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! It is no trick at all to be right on the market. You always find lots of early bulls in bull markets and early bears in bear markets. I've known many men who were right at exactly the right time, and began buying or selling stocks when prices were at the very level which should show the greatest profit. And their experience invariably matched mine--that is, they made no real money out of it. Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon.

Looks like a lot of greed in this thread, people waiting to buy in for absurdly low prices that will never be touched again.
That may be but the hats are complimentary. Avatar-sized

I don't see why a male with common sense would get married, makes absolutely zero sense.
L IS FOR THE WAY YOU LOOK AT ME O IS FOR THE ONLY ONE I SEE V IS VERY VERY EXTRAORDINARY E IS MORE THAN ANYONE YOU CAN ADORE. If it wasn't for women and falling in love with them this world would be a very different place. People kill for that shit, a little loss of cash and being bitched at is nothing. How cute, you actually believe in the love fairytale. Women are after your resources. Marriage is a prison and it looks as though this forum is filled with simps. Yeah like I said I married young, there were no resources to go after, I'm not in my fifties married to a 22 year old telling myself some sort of lie. Maybe you found a unicorn and if you did congratulations. Hoes today aren't loyal and the majority of these faithful women will cheat any chance they get. The laws today are heavily favored towards women and even with a prenup men still get financially raped. Sounds like you need some lovin'. Avatar-sized
