Why don't we celebrate in Amsterdam?

Very friendly city for all kinds of people.

Temprature

Temperature is quite good in summer. That's not an excuse imo.

Amsterdam in the summer sounds good to me.

I might even be able to find my favorites there... Shirak-i-mazar, Malana Cream and Nepalese Temple Balls.

I'm spoiled rotten.  Cool
Now your talking jimbo. Amsterdam in the summer it has to be
i must say would be pretty easy for me only 1h30min drive by car or something

F*** with this amsterdam talks.... already feel like going for a few days one of the coming weekends

Of course, the rules for student loans, including eligibility and interest rates vary with time, but generally speaking there is a certain level of publicly subsidized loans that do not bear interest until after graduating or other qualifying conditions.

Piggybacking on this discussion...

Currently, 9.1% of student loans are delinquent by 90 days or more. This is an 'asset class' (to the makers) of over $1.6Trillion. Size of junk mortgages in 2007? About $1T.

Ponderate upon this: what happens when those bad student loans go totally tits-up? <mr_rogers_voice>Can you say financial crisis? Sure. I knew you could.</mr_rogers_voice>

Having been convicted of possessing a plant that is now legal in my own country, I'm now eternally persona non grata in the land of the incarcerated and the home of the militarily emboldened.

The ultimate irony, of course, being that Nevada has legalized recreational marijuana, right ?  Roll Eyes

The USA desperately needs to adopt a sane drug policy at a federal level, if for no other reason than basic humanitarianism.

Yes, Las Vegas has recreational marijuana and tons of dispensaries open for business. That was going to be my main reason for suggesting it as one of the best places for a 100k$ BTC party. (That, and I like to gamble lol)

They even import products from California apparently. I saw Vader extracts (Cali brand) in a dispensary there last year when I went.

Also, Vegas has exotic car rentals, legal prostitution (in certain nearby areas), and some good places to eat  Grin

Well, should probably go without saying, I rescind my offer of throwing a $100k party, if/when the milestone is achieved. If I've fucked up an intended good-faith beer offering in this thread so badly due to bad planning/foresight on my part or whatever, I have no business pondering more grandiose "events". Not to mention the considerable scorn I have accrued, bearing down upon me, is beginning to weigh heavily on me.

All my calls have turned out to be contrarian, looking back through the lens of retrospection.

I offer nothing of value to this thread.

I should just delete this account and get on with life in meatspace...

SHEEEEEEEEIT, don't; stay with with us, come into the light

Got my 0.000777btc beer coin. Dude's for real.

Thanks again Bob. You're my uncle.
Cheers man understand why you took it.... those damn hot days in Mexico

Actually, I'm back in Toronto and while its a relatively nice sunny day today, it's still cold here. It was snowing yesterday.

I'll use the beer not as a coolant  but rather as a source of energy to stay warm. Alcohol is a carbohydrate after all. Calories are calories.  Cool

Why don't we celebrate in Amsterdam?

Very friendly city for all kinds of people.

Narrow streets and close together buildings, will make target acquisition tricky...

Sorry... I mean , Amsterdam sounds good.....

Special thanks to PoolMinor for compiling this list.

After much thought, in the spirit of fulfilling my promise, and to spite all the haters, I am offering to send 0.000777 BTC (to anyone within 20 pages of my boastful post @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg30630119#msg30630119 - the below compiled list) if you PM me with a BTC address.

My banter was that if it touched the 8's, I would buy beers.

Therefore, $7 / $8999 == ~0.000777 BTC

PoolMinor should have received his TX already via PM.

My sincere hope is that this shuts up JJG, and I get to knock him the fuck out at the $100k party.

What happened to the idea of doing it in Las Vegas? Sad

After further consideration, throwing the $100K party in Las Vegas would be much easier to plan.

It would need to be a Masquerade Ball sorta deal to have any chance of maintaining a semblance of anonymity while interacting with your fellow WO'ers in bonafide meatspace.

oh fuck, I cant believe it escalated to this

now I am totally torn, my first inclination is to join many others in telling Bob that it is all good, which it is, I mean, it was a fun little thing to rib him about from time to time but that was all

but on the other side, here is an opportunity to have verifiable involvement in this "pizza" moment in history, indelibly etched into the blockchain for all time

when I tell people that I was on the night that the HODL thread went down, jackhammering F5 and laughing my ass off, they are like "yeah sure"

to be able to tell them that the solid gold divan they are sitting on was purchased with Bob's beer money...with a signed hash to prove it...

I'm not sure I can pass that up
