https://ocean.builders/first-seastead-has-been-set-up-in-international-waters/Ocean Builders has built a spar design seastead over the past several months which consists of a large steel cylinder that sits vertically in the water with a fiberglass platform sitting atop the spar which acts as the living space. The spar was placed into the water on January 3rd and the platform placed in the water a week later in preparation for this event. Some peeps is watchers. Others -- more rarefied -- are doers. You, Elwar, are a doer. Kudos to you and your team!

Bitcoin exchanges are increasingly coming under pressure from users and regulators to prove they are managing their users funds correctly. After so many high-profile hacks over the years (many of which went unnoticed for some time), proving Bitcoin reserves has become an important task for businesses seeking to retain the trust of their customers.
Unfortunately, the few exchanges that are taking steps to prove their Bitcoin balances to third parties use their own in-house solutions to generate their proofs. The variety of approaches makes it difficult for anyone wishing to verify exchange holdings for themselves, as they must familiarise themselves with each individual system, which usually requires some specialist technical knowledge.
At Blockstream, we’ve been working on a solution to provide a best-practice standard Proof of Reserves for the industry, that offers broad compatibility with the way most Bitcoin exchanges are storing their users’ funds. A BIP has already been submitted to the bitcoin-dev mailing list, and today we’re open-sourcing the development of the tool for feedback from the industry. Put in as simple terms as possible, Proof of Reserves allows an exchange to prove how many bitcoin they could spend, without needing to generate a “live” transaction or exposing themselves to the risks of moving funds.
Using the tool, an exchange first constructs a single transaction which spends all of an exchange’s Bitcoin UTXOs, and adding an extra invalid input. By including one invalid input, the entire transaction is rendered invalid and would be rejected by the network if broadcast. However, the transaction is constructed in such a way that it can still be used as an explicit proof of all the Bitcoin UTXOs spendable by the exchange.
This transaction data can then be shared with anyone that needs to verify reserves. They simply import the data into their own Proof of Reserves client to confirm the exchange’s total holdings and the addresses associated with those holdings. The solution is easy-to-use and accessible to anyone that knows how to run a CLI application. Work to be Done Currently, proofs constructed using the tool require exchanges to reveal their entire list of UTXOs, which if shared publicly, could reveal too much information on each exchange’s financial operations. However, with Liquid the sum of values can be proven and disclosed without revealing the value of individual UTXOs, due to Liquid’s use of confidential transactions. https://blockstream.com/2019/02/04/standardizing-bitcoin-proof-of-reserves/Bit disappointing it is tied to Liquid at this point, so of limited utility. Still very interesting.

I've been interested in PR for the same reasons.
I think Argentina might now have a higher ratio of white people vs taco people, mestizos, black people, etc than the US does. Their black population is only 9%. They even have clean public transportation that's not littered with graffiti and level 5 chimpouts 24 hours a day: I was actually just looking at the statistics yesterday. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Latin_AmericansAlso according to Wikipedia: [the]total White population (including White Hispanics and Latinos) being 76.9% I started researching Uruguay in some more depth. It's temperate, prosperous, and extremely safe. It makes the short list of possible countries to move. Unlike the economically unstable Argentina, Uruguay was able to weather "The Great Recession", while actually achieving some economic growth. 4 main metrics to look at imo: Ethnicity (white of whatever variety), language (something civilized (english)), culture (NO WELFARE), and taxation on bitcoin. Looking into it myself, but at the end of the day the only way to know for sure if a given country works is to go there and live for a while.

Rumors abound over hats and someone apparently named 'stella. We will get back to you as soon as we have any updates on this developing story.

I was actually doing the same this morning (before I read your post), researching Uruguay´s visa options etc. They have the worlds poorest president, who gives 90% of his income to charity and drives a Volkswagen beetle. Visa options for me are quite straightforward and easy to obtain, all in all the country seems to be a great place to live in, even weed is legalised. Might have a trip there soon to check everything out.

Moon is a browser extension that offers an alternative payment method when shopping online. Pay 'with bitcoin' [and some altcoins] 'directly' (Coinbase account) on Amazon.com. Soon you’ll be able to shop on any of your favorite e-commerce websites, like eBay, Ali Express and Walmart.com.

Mmm close of Earning yourself an XhomerX HAT Maybe someone can give you the right push ? Morning WO's. Thanks dude, I won't lie and pretend it's not a desire, but I do have patience my friend. Besides, I don't think I'm worth it. Now taking into consideration that I'm going to be here for the 100k party, we do have some way to go. # I think Argentina <...>
Heil r0achie, you are so predictable. It drives me nuts to watch a seemingly intelligent person, being so dumb at the same time due to sexual frustration. Ce la vi, I suppose.

just relax and listen to the Hat(e) wearers. they prefer to speak to each other alone. posts of non Hat(e) wearers are not much worth to them. at any cost avoid to get their attention by being rude to them. you won't survive.
Hmm. You don't sound much like the Gyrsur I know. The weird thing is he has a hat and was wearing it. Who is hating against non hat wearers? I even made r0ach a hat. The hats are free and they're also free from hate. This aggression will not stand.

Gentlemen, have you heard that the funds on the “lost” wallets of the QuadrigaCX exchange have been set in motion? It is at least about wallets with lightcoins. It is active, transactions are made from it. Proof

I just something in ivory tower which I believe you guys may be interested as well So I am sharing with you guys , about a book I read recently Trading is certainly not my style, I am more focused on long term investing. Recently I read a few pages of a nice book, Fooled by Randomness.
The author mentions some interesting statistics, which I will try to somehow summarize in a few lines : He mentions that in the last 40 years, SP500 raised about 12% a year. (Average)
If you look at charts once a year, about 90% of the years the sp500 index was green, and 10% in red. However, the more you look, the worst it is: if you look the charts every quarter , you will have about 70% green and 30% red. If you look the charts daily, you will see 54% green and 46% red.
Additionally, our generation is now looking the charts every hour or even every minute. This is so crazy. If you do that, probably you will see 50% -50% , even if the long term is green.
This is how you are Fooled by Randomness.
After reading that I got more relaxed about charts..
