98% of you likely have your 2FA app on your cell phone.

I dont have enough time to explain all the reasons thats a terrible idea...

Buy a new IPod touch
Create a new Apple ID w/ new email
Download Google Authenticator
Put IPod in airplane mode

Rest easy👍

Authenticator does not require internet.

Having it on an offline iPod is almost as good as having every code written down.

You also no longer have to worry about your phone being hacked, stolen, lost, etc.

It’s $199 for an IPod. Just do it.

https://twitter.com/bitcoinbirch/status/1111260251662311429?s=21

Trust but verify Goose.

Since I am one to argue over semantics I have to point out that the above statement is just NOT true. GA requires an accurate timestamp to generate the authentication code you use in 2fa. If you leave your device unconnected for a period of time it will de-sync with the GA server and leave you with a invalid code. I know this for reasons..

Otherwise the above is pretty good advice..just turn on your device and make sure the update time automatically is checked in your settings..turn off airplane mode..update the time..turn on airplane mode again and use normally. I think its a especially good idea if you have large wallets to have a device that is used only for 2fa and nothing else.

Just make sure you back that seed up carefully in case of a dropped phone or other such calamity.

LOL
Yes, problem for him because he can not create as many as he wants LOL
The most meaningful fact about bitcoins is it's limited supply.

I disagree. That could be it least important feature. For speculators and get rich quick hopefuls that may be true but for me its having a secure, decentralised and trust less medium to exchange value. These far outweigh its emission features imho.

Good morning

WO’s

Good morning.

Hi guys, what's up?

I've been hibernating for the past year or so but spring has come and I feel like things are going to start moving soon.

Who's still here observing walls?

Welcome back and I am happy to report that the Wall is still manned. We abide and we observe to the best of our abilities.

If some of you are interested, these are some of the places I went to today.

-snipped-

And I also saw roach. He told me he was waiting for the Bulls... in his own way.

Interpret the graphic simply, 3 years green / 1 year red, you already know what's coming now.

I will give you the easiest option.

Download Authy. Link: https://authy.com

This app works in both Desktop and mobile device.

The good thing is that it has backup option.

Sure. But backup implies that you are entrusting your keys to some centralized server.

There is something very sobering about seeing a MINIMUM PROJECTED VALUATION of over $10k by 7/1/2020.

Are we backsliding again Bob? Not hitting the plates as hard as you should be? I would expect you to be thoroughly sauced by now.   Grin

Its noon somewhere right? Cheers WO's!

Is there any data available about the distribution of claim sizes at mt Gox? Is the majority of the total claim amount part of small claims or large ones?

check here
https://wiki.mtgoxlegal.com/en/home/statistics/

dunno how current or accurate it is.

the bulk seem to be between 100 and 10k GBP

around 3000 claims are over 10k GBP

ouch

EDIT: corrected amounts and units.. duh

***ATTENTION***

Con man alert!

This guy will sell bCash scam shitcoin to you saying that that is Bitcoin.

Still calling it Bitcoin Core I see... Jesus H. Ver... the man has no shame.

For "fun" I read a news story about what I thought was bitcoin at news.bitcoin.com... They ALWAYS put BCH in front of BTC, whether they are just casually mentioning it in a news article, showing the prices in their ticker, or on their "buy" page... the default option is... you guessed it! BCH!

Its not called BitcoinCash.com FFS.

Meanwhile the average BCH block size is 70k! Not 700k. Not 7,000k. 70! Nobody is using his shitcoin, ergo who gives a shit how big its blocks are. What bcash and sv freaks just don't get is that nobody wants to use a coin piloted by a charlatan.
