I mumbled a little bit on various themes we discussed on the WO thread lately.
I posted this on a new thread:
Extracting stable positive return from high-volatile asset.HF recipe made simple

Hope you might find it useful.
It also gives hints on how to manage a selling program to exit bitcoin (for the degenerate WO members who aren't permaholders Wink...)

Good and simple read. Merit-worthy, but I'm dry.

+1 WOsMerit
(Sorry: valid in the WOT only, as per instructions from management.)

Thanks,
appreciate WO merits also.

O.k. You asked for it.

I am going to deliver to you my first WO merit.  +1 to you, fillippone.   Wink  (did you get it?  Can you feel the love of it?  no homo)
Thanks JJI really appreciate and I do feel the love. no homo

If we are here to observe, i´ll do it..

I observe more blue each period.. more blue dots, and with a higher slope
I observe green and yellow dots having lesser slope..
and i observe less red dots each period..

so, my l33t TA skillz tell me to join the peaks and... hmm.. expect a 2000% by 2021 ?

Thats the best i can do. I just got meal and my stomach is having all the blood. My brain is idling.

So $200k.... I'm OK with that...

2000% of $3500 is $70k.  That is a bit pessimistic prognosis to me.

Wait so Bitcoin = bad because Segwit is "indeed an alteration of the Bitcoin protocol"

BTC is suboptimal not merely because SegWit is an alteration, but because the SegWit Omnibus Changeset is a net negative alteration.

Quote
but bcash Bsv = good because their shitty changes are "legitimate claim to a protocol change"

One of the things that makes BSV good is that it is being incrementally returned to the original Bitcoin protocol.

Do try to keep up.

Thus coming back to my comment about original design of planes not having jet engines and cars not having air bags etc... Can you provide any other technology which was not improved and is stuck at its original design? BSv's whole premise relies on cult thinking rather than logic. The design of first car, computer, TV etc etc etc have little to do with their current revisions and no one cares about ENIAC and steam powered cars.

U in principle say that original Bitcoin (pre alterations incl Segwit) didn't work, had no enjines, no proper script  whatsoever

But that is the cult, that core / BS created , i.o. to sell u 2nd layer and script 'engines' cause it s still on the cult ticker btc.

Take a step back, not Back, but back to the roots (yeah, it could get a cult)

Jackass

Guess this is a full agree in ur lang.

I have a technical question about my bitcoin node for my fellow verifiers.

My bitcoin node runs on a linux box. I kept it switched off while I was away. When I got back, I found the main drive had some problem, so I replaced it and reinstalled the system and some of the software, including bitcoind. So far so good. After this, I proceeded to restore the latest daily backup of the .bitcoin directory, which among other things contains the local copy of the blockchain. I then left the node running to verify and sync.

The surprise came when the catching up was done, and I launched the new daily backup. I use rsync, so only files that have changed actually get transferred. Well, apparently about half of the blocks need uploading to backup, which was never the case during my previous daily backup routine. Why have older block files changed?

I'm talking about blk0XXXX.dat files. The latest is blk01790.dat, so I expected the backup to begin well after blk01000.dat, but the current backup (still running) begins with

Code:
.bitcoin/blocks/blk00028.dat
.bitcoin/blocks/blk00031.dat
.bitcoin/blocks/blk00033.dat
.bitcoin/blocks/blk00036.dat
.bitcoin/blocks/blk00037.dat
.bitcoin/blocks/blk00038.dat

What could have happened?

I run a node but I’m not that tech gifted if I’m perfectly honest. You might be better off posting this here -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0

achow101, the mod on that sub is close to genius level. He’s saved my ass (thinking I’ve lost a lot of coins a few times).

He replies to most threads & that’s also where the gifted techies hang out.

I have a dog with no legs.  I call him Cigarette because every evening when I get home from work I take him for a drag.

My sister had a dog with 3 legs, she named it Fraction. Great dog, couldn't jump as well as others but can't say the handicap really affected him much. Fur reals.

Reminds me of the farmer who kept a 3 legged pig for a pet.
When asked by his neighbor how it lost a leg,
the farmer replied, “well, him being well trained and all, I don’t want to eat him all at once.....

In this analysis, the main thing is that an impulse may arise that raises the price to $ 15.3k, but if they do not defend the positions, it can remain at $ 7.4k.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/price-analysis-11-09-btc-eth-xrp-bch-ltc-bnb-eos-bsv-xmr-ada

On the other hand when viewing the graph in tensorcharts, at 1 day, it is noted that there is not much volume, if the price falls with low volume means that there is no demand, there is almost no interest in shopping there, the offer may appear in levels of higher prices, I am much more inclined to go up and I think I am going against many analysts ..

The arrows indicate the number of transactions or the number of orders there are, at higher levels there is more negotiation interest.

I didn't say it didn't work for it's time, but all things change, and improve for the better, deal with it. Trying to stick to original design because it's somehow divine and refuse changes citing code v0.1 as some kind of bible is cult thinking, not engineering. Like i said no one cares about specs for ENIAC just as no one cares about BSv or bcash.

Hong Kong makes $37 billion bid for the London Stock Exchange

Quote
London (CNN Business)Hong Kong has just made a surprise £30 billion ($37 billion) takeover bid for the London Stock Exchange.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKXCF) (HKEX) said Wednesday it had made a proposal to the LSE (LNSTY) to combine the two companies in a cash and share deal worth £29.6 billion, or £31.6 billion ($39 billion) including debt.

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/09/11/investing/hong-kong-london-stock-exchange/index.html

 Roll Eyes

There is no way China should be allowed to buy the LSE.  Surely this deal will be blocked.
