Cash is gone baby, cash is gone. #nohomo
I wonder where you live. I still can use cash, for some strange reason. Go figure. LOL, I've stated before where I live, and yes, people around me use cash, it's just there is not much to go around atm. Time for a reboot Jay, you're pass the 24hr mark, and that quantum chip of yours needs to discharge for one freaking second.

Very grateful for your comments, suggestions and some PM received!
Now I must stick to the new plan, buy small quantities regularly. The previous one was executed as planned, if the accumulated total of fiat fell for any reason, the investments or bitcoin would be sold before stressing the family economy.
The really important thing is that I can still eat and drink, all is not lost.
(Now I am a bull without horns and without BTC)
Better for me if we close this conversation here, I'm sure the situation will improve.
Thx
You could post a BTC address here. You may get some donations, or compensation for the work you've put into the thread. There are probably some generous, BTC rich people around here. Or you'll get mercilessly roasted for being a nocoiner beggar. *shrug* He does have an address in his profile 1PCm7LqVkhj4xRpKNyyEeekwhc1mzK52cT Is that right? Oh yeah. I forgot that space exists. Kind of like my wife's...nevermind. 1PCm7LqVkhj4xRpKNyyEeekwhc1mzK52cT It is correct, it is the address that I have in the profile. Hard to explain the feeling I have had, I don't know how to describe it, this morning I saw an incoming transaction of 0.0 1001000BTC, thanks, very impressed, I have no words. Congrats VB you're a coiner again! Welcome back!

Sad and humbling at the same time. Bitcoin has weathered a global pandemic with remarkable strength...yet look at the reaction this is garnering from moving just 50 coin.
One has to wonder at the timing of the move..sure seems to have cooled off the market in a quick hurry.
It just shows how small Bitcoin (still) is. You feel every wave on a life raft, not on an oil tanker. There are many and bigger waves to come (MtGox coins, government involvement, the occasional sprinkle of China FUD, etc). Slowly however Bitcoin grows and the impact of external events diminishes, which is already noticeable today compared to two halvings ago. Edit: https://twitter.com/coinmetrics/status/1263150657848172551Haha, so nice to see latency of that alert, so whales had a lot of time

I agree slightly with Toxic that the move was humbling,,, but I still do not think we can say it was fully responsible for causing the dump (or if it is,,, then it should recover very quickly). We all see the effects of 100s of millions of dollars moving in bitcoin, but they do not last long. Like you said though, we all see Bitcoin as a 10k coin but in reality it is still very small when compared to everything else. And that is good news for us BTC holders. Keep using!

There are tens of thousands of those 'dormant' 50 coin addresses. Sadly the old miners probably formatted their hard drives after playing with bitcoind for a bit, so not all of them will ever move. It was just points in a shareware proggy, and there had been no price discovery yet. Yeah so let's be grateful there's any of those pioneers left with the foresight and fortitude needed to hodl for 11 years plus. And let's not dump like pathetic dweebs when some twitter account wrongly reports such movements as satoshi's coins. Anyway he probably just wanted to get himself a new gpu and a couple pizzas. Nothing wrong with that. (apud @btcFUD)

Satoshis Bitcoin have no chance of being moved until Hal Finney cryogenic preserved body is revived in 100+ years from now. If Hal was Satoshi, they will do everything in their power to bring him back to life when Bitcoin is the global reserve currency.
That would be awesome. It's year 2100, countries around the world were competing for the last 50yrs to be the first one to revive Hal. One finally succeeds. [...] In reality, if Bitcoin does take over, Hal Finneys body will be worth more than ANYTHING....just on the mere speculation that he remembers or knows the method of retrieving the private keys. those early coins will be grabbed when quantum computers of sufficient capacity arrive. 10+ years maybe. so Hal is not needed for the coins. but for his possible knowledge of the true satoshi.. welcome back Hal (i hope). edit: no i dont want to know who satoshi is. but thats up to Hal. and if thats the reason to thaw him out so be it. i just want him back. he got a raw deal.

Thanks for that. If this dip was due to the news of this early block movement it highlights just how jittery some of these traders are. I mean even if this does happen to be Satoshi's coins (which is looking increasingly unlikey) surely he would be entitled to move, spend them. What is everyone worried about? That he is going to dump the whole lot on to the market in one go? Why would he do that? It would surely set Bitcoin back a long way if not totally destroy it. Doesn't seem like a logical thing to do to me. How is anyone with access to these early coins (Satoshi's or not) meant to use them? At what point do people feel a certain block is ok but another isnt? I know Bitcoin is only a mere 11 years old but sometimes this grind can seem a long time. Still, I am patient and still HODLing strong.

No. There are likely a few other losers, no coiners, fence sitters, bitcoin naysayers, sold too much too sooners, and/or alt coin pumpeners who are in the same camp of wishfulness as you.

https://twitter.com/midmagic/status/1263227677005066240?s=20This is incorrect. There are multiple reasons why a running node would restart extraNonce or increment it, and a number of other details that Sergio got wrong. It's really important not to aggrandize Sergio's work, Jimmy, not the least of which is respect for Satoshi's choices.
