This thread is hopeless. Cheesy Kiss#nohomo
The wait to invest again is getting long, the last time I visited the thread we were at 16K, now 18,700 with a beautiful 1K green dildo we will break ATH, not even in my wildest dreams I expected these prices.
#StrongHats

Yeah... but you said that your budget was not coming until January.

Have you changed your mind about your budget?
It remains the same, perhaps the construction of the previous comment is not clear enough.
Until January I still do not have an exact date, almost certainly I will have 4K available, thanks for your comment to reinvest the fresh money. Wink

Well, I can appreciate your anxiety given BTC's price movements of the past 1.5 month - and especially the last few weeks.. just seems that the price does not want to correct causing questions regarding if it might cross above certain price thresholds and NOT come back.

Furthermore, I appreciate that my own suggested plan seems almost too slow..., and in that regard, I might even hesitate or end up frontloading my own plan... I am not really sure, even though I tried to outline the way that I would work to attempt to employ such a plan today and to extrapolate that my sense of how I would treat the matter would be the same when projecting into some future date to begin the employment of such plan or to figure out if there might be some reason(s) to employ a variant of the plan based on then circumstances.

In any event, the plan that I laid out would be my starting point for consideration of the most logical and unemotional approach, and surely both logic and non-emotion do not live in a vacuum, either.  So in that regard, logic and non-emotion would have to take account of what are the more exact circumstances being faced when the cash is in hand, rather than theoretical.

@JJG, Your plan does not include the "universe", just bitcoin/fiat duality.
IMHO, a more holistic approach-like the one @Wekkel was hinting at is needed.
Albeit, thou does "protest too much" sometimes.
This weekend, for some reason, retail is going for "crypto" with gusto, forgetting about bitcoin for a day.
Institutions would probably "correct' this on Monday, but for now something strange is happening.

Being one who pays attention to details, I even emulate the spacing between your punctuation and your smileys.  Wink

Difficult to argue with any of those admissions of activities and intentions

Even though I cannot really know your circumstances, at least you don't seem to be a nocoiner, fence-sitter, bitcoin naysayer, altcoin pumpener or any of those kinds of character traits that I would weigh as negatives, so there is that potentially positive angle...

In other words, even if we are not exactly on the same page at all times, we seem to be somewhere within the same chapter.  Wink Wink

My policy: sell fiat, gain btc and, sorry JJG, "other items".
My preference is btc, always, but I am not going to ignore other ways of making money.

One of the main reasons why we (at least I) despise banks, governments and corporations, namely their appalling bureaucracy and their slowness and horrible lack of efficiency, should be used as a protection against them. Fill out their forms and reply to their questionnaires in a way that satisfies them, and you'll probably be perfectly fine....

Oh of course. It's not that big a deal, bitcoins go through a special account at the bank that is KYCed and all taxes are paid and so forth. It's just annoying to see it going into every aspect of one's life. Plus I remember paypal hacks and know the damage having too much information out there can cause.

So if I don't need PP I don't need to give them even more data to lose. Plus there is that "if you don't control your keys, it's not bitcoin" voice that whispers in the back of my head.

I wonder if there could be a way to turn this whole KYC and ID thing to our advantage. For instance, what if we would simply post all of our private data on the net? If we then were accused of something that leads back to us, we could simply answer: sure, but that could have been anybody, because my data is publicly available anywhere. (let's be honest, government security has more holes than a sieve anyway, so our info probably is up for grabs already...)

Most of your data would work.  Just not your wallet keys.

Good suggestion Cool Most of the other so-called "private" date are invented by government and corporations anyway: SSA number, national registry number (or whatever it's called in countries all over the world), addresses and numbers, account numbers etc.

Shouldn't complain though. At least our parents got to pick our first names freely.

I feel like such a fag right now.

Bought $500 worth of corn on Paypal, for, reasons (?) and it's now worth $503 or something.

Winning ?

EDIT: OK. Bought another $500 worth of corn on Gemini to cleanse my spirit, and balance the karmic scales.

Nothing much strange, if you noticed the increased altFOMO. Even the WO beggar turned up.
This can only mean one thing as far as I'm concerned, on Monday when the EUR/USD pair resumes trading, alts will dive once more, and BTC will rise to a new ATH.
The fully blown alt party and the BTC manic bull, is not in sync just yet. Whales need to take profit before the end of the year somehow.

Most of your data would work.  Just not your wallet keys.

Why not? I mean, whats the difference? In a custodial crypto bank - to safeguard them.
Sorry philipma, I really don't agree. Some things should remain private.
