Mr Elon Musk is acting as a nail in the coffin for bitcoin at the moment.  the price is $45k USD. over twice the 2017 ATH. and peeps here are annoyed, moaning and pissed?? wtf where has the OG gone. we should be toasting the 30% off sale not complaining about the words from a twitter account. whats with all the new whiners anyway. folks just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. the moments of sheer terror are relative anyway; its just part of the ride. learn to enjoy them. The thing is to me, I kinda liked Elon. Sure, weird dude and basically the billionaire equivalent of being "not like the other girls", but still had a lot of great stuff going on. But this... it's like watching people I thought I knew posting about how Bill Gates vaccinating everyone with microchips all over again. I'm not mourning Bitcoin, that one's going to recover eventually. But my opinion of Elon Musk... Oof. I just can't get over his 10x faster block times and 10x larger block statement. Korea and China 'banning' crypto. Volatility warnings, hacks, bankruptcies, pyramid schemes, "it's money for criminals", blahblah. I'd say we'll have a laugh about this in a few months, but in truth, we probably won't, because by then, we'll probably have forgotten completely about this "just another FUD".  |

Also keep in mind that US taxes are due tomorrow.
And a lot of people have a lot of capital gains they need to pay this year.
I'm not 100% sure but I think there's usually always a dump right before tax day during a bull run.

Awesome, looks like we are ridding ourselves of Musk. This is a very good thing, just like when ver, wright, et al. removed themselves.
With Musk gone a lot of the weak hands will vanish. My only concern is how this kind of thing will be viewed when it comes time to granting a US ETF and also how it will be viewed by large investors/institutions.
